My SO’s co-workers have had a few gatherings here. Atmosphere is pretty good and staff is pleasant. During the most recent visit we learned that the mechanical bull was gone and there was now karaoke. One of the reasons I didn’t mind coming here was the opportunity to watch drunk people ride the bull but now you just get to listen to the drunk people sing. Karaoke DJ was decent. Food is good. Hot stone steaks are nice and the bar is better lit now so you can actually see what you’re doing.
Bourbon Jack’s has a pretty chill atmosphere. In the front they have a couple arcade games and some TV’s that usually play sports. They have 4 dart boards and 2 pool tables. During their karaoke nights they usually have a full crowd and everyone has a good time. The one thing I really want to touch on is their food. The burgers are some of the best bar burgers I’ve ever had. I personally haven’t had their dry aged flat ironed steaks but I was told they are good as well. I would recommend this bar for anyone looking for a nice Friday night.
Really enjoyed their Friday night prime rib and baked potato for my step dad’s birthday ? would have been 5 star if we got forks for our chocolate cake but we improvised with a straw
I loved Bourbon Jack’s old location, since they moved it is now boring I have been a few times and the only have karakoe with very few people, no more line dancing or mechanical bull. Go to big whiskey you’ll have a much better time.
Service was slow and there was no music playing and they took out the bull. On top of all that they didn’t even have simple syrup to make a lemon drop and this was a friday night and we were there for a Birthday party in the VIP section you would think that since this party was booked in advance they would be prepared. Sucked!
The only reason I didn’t give Bourbon Jack’s 5 stars is because I had to wait 50 min for my meal and when I got it you could tell it was thrown together: my steak was so small compared to other plates that I seen while waiting for my food. The salad that comes with the meal is usually really nice, but this time all I got was lettuce in these huge chunks and blue cheese dressing, no croutons, tomatoes, red onions, just lettuce! Usually the food is very good but if you go here hungry and you order the Tuesday night special, you’ll leave still hungry!!!
Went specifically for Karaoke. The only complaint I have is that the online songbook app that is advertised to put in requests, doesn’t work. Sure I could find the songs available, but I couldn’t submit the request on the app. Drinks were made well and the employees are friendly. I love the interior design with it’s country western theme.
Karaoke with Dr. Dave as your host is very good. The sound and the room are a great match. The bar itself is very nice after the remodele. There’s a dance floor in front of the stage, darts, pool, skee-ball.
Nice Looking place, decent food, small dance floor, and really scuffed, hard to spin a gal on, but great place for sitting down and having a few drinks with friends.
Great Karayoke, good prices, and an all around great country type bar. Only been there once, but if they have swing and line dancing it would make me love it even more. We had a great time here. The pool tables and cues are possibly the best shape I have ever seen.
I have been to Bourbon Jack’s for several years. The BBQ was good previously. Today the Brisket was sliced thin and no smoke ring. Small portion and awful fries greasy and flaccid.
This place is awesome!!! The bartenders are great, they have a good selection of food, good pool tables, entertaining karaoke, the place smells like delicious BBQ, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I didn’t actually try the food (because I’d foolishly eaten somewhere else), but if the smell was any indication it would be worth the money, and I was bummed that I didn’t see the mechanical bull, but I’m definitely hoping I can talk my friends into going back.
Amazing steak bites that you grill yourself on a grill plate. Bartender didn’t know bourbon was a style of whiskey, seems like that should a requirement of the job. Place needs a better bourbon selection.
Can U say “NO vibe” & “NO waitresses” & pretty much “NO service” – not sure WHAT was or WASN’T going on this night, but hung on like a champ 4 a drink…@ least 10 minutes 4 sure
Get the marinated flank steak, the sauce that it comes with is fabulous. It also comes with a huge loaded baked potato. Service is friendly and fast.
Brought family there for bday dinner around 7pm. Long lines to get food and drinks. Nachos weren’t that great. Might try going again later in the evening and trying something different to eat ..hopefully I have a better impression.
Not very accommodating to handicapped people inside they have one table that handicapped people sit at if they are in a wheelchair.
Prime dinner special on Fridays is good. Best baked potatoe ever. I only give 2 stars because the vibe isn’t good. There was a patron who kept staring at us like he wanted to intimidate us. It was very obvious and uncomfortable. He walked by a dozen times just to give us dirty looks. The bartender seemed overwhelmed with everything and when we asked for some drinks he responded quickly with “no blended drinks tonight.” He didn’t even try to sell us something different. Needless to say I wouldn’t recommend this bar as a hang out spot but the food is awesome. Maybe do a meal order for pick up next time.
My best friend turned 50 today and everyone there made her feel like she was the bell of the ball.. I had to leave early but when I left they all were taking good care of her… Happy Birthday Lisa , luv u
Steak bits are yummy, server was polite and efficient, tvs were good except one needs to be opposite the long table / in the corner by the entrance
Really great food. A must try. The chef is a Dedicated man. I love the steak bites for lunch.I go here for lunch whenever I’m in the area. It’s got really great food in a neat style. You order the food and then it comes out on a red-hot block that’s like 780 degrees. And then you cook the steak yourself.
My group was here for a skee ball tourney this weekend. Great experience. Generous pour bevies and the food is delish. Our teams especially like the steak bites. Wait staff is friendly and efficient.
Not a very lively place but if you want good drinks and good country music it is the place to be. My friends and I go every now and then when we are in the mood for a drink and some country!
Went here with my wife on a Wednesday night, mindful of some of the complaints about rude service. The bartender/waitress was at our seat before we were even fully seated ourselves, and was very friendly. We didn’t do the line dance lessons, but it looked like a lot of fun, and people were having a good time. We did do some dancing ourselves, after the line dancing was done and we’d had a couple drinks.
The food was really good, and we will definitely be going back. The place has a ton of potential and with all the talk about new ownership I really hope it finds its legs and sticks around.
The only complaint I would have is I’d like to see more high back chairs for when you want to kick back and take it easy, as opposed to just standard stools.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Horrible customer service. I called and reserved a date months in advance for a bachelorette party, planning on buying the red package (400 dollars). Their employee, Lori, told me their party bus was in an accident but we would figure something else out if it wasn’t functioning by the date I wanted. I called back several times in attempt to get information about the party bus. Several calls went unanswered during business hours. Once I finally got through to an employee on her first day, I asked about my reservation, I was informed Lori no longer worked there, and I was put on hold waiting for the manager to come to the phone for over 20 minutes. In the background I heard conversations between customers as well as several employees pass by the phone and ask “Is someone on the phone?” But nobody would pick it up. I eventually ran out of time and had to hang up, and despite having my name and information, I was never called back. As the date of the bachelorette party approached, I got ahold of a staff member who told me that I never had a reservation and my date was given to someone else. She tried to get her manager, Rick, to help fix the issue. He told me we could figure something else out but then refused to answer or return my calls. Two weeks before the bachelorette party I had to start completely from scratch because Bourbon Jacks refused to communicate or document reservations with potential customers. Thank God for Cowgirls in Seattle. Bourbon Jacks sucks.
My bartender Kara was amazing, fun, friendly and Beautiful!!! The beer and drink selection is typical, the food is made in house and is really tasty! Good portions for the price. Overall a fun environment!
It would be great if your bartender didn’t disappear out on the bear garden while you’re eating your food and there’s complaints about it……. Never eat hear again
Have been 3 times and each time servers were friendly and always a smile. Cook came out 2 times talking to us and we enjoyed the food immensely. Had never cooked a steak on a stone….wonderful! Would recommend Bourbon Jack’s to anyone who loves good food and fun time served by people who smile and truly enjoy serving.
Has anyone ever had them answer the phone??? This is a serious question because I have called several times in the past year and called back to back and NEVER had ANYONE answer…. besides that this place is incredible!! Good beer good service and the atmosphere is great!! I love that they have a mechanical bull and darts and the smoking area is so relaxed with there benches and being outside…. all in all it is a beautiful place. I just wish they would answer the phone when I call with questions so I would know if I should go there or not… This will lose them customers and I dont want that and I know they dont want that. 🙂
A little country bar down in Auburn! They have dance lessons. We went on a Friday and maybe we caught them on an off-day but it didn’t have anybody but the staff dancing out on the dance floor.
Dj and bouncer are amazing, but the bar tender sucks. They took 15 mins to make a simple drink, they have a bad attitude and tried to get the DJ to close at one. This is is an amazing bar until you meet the bar tenders.
Great local bar. Pedro is a wonderful cook & when they have specials on Wed (all you can eat ribs) & Fridays (prime rib) it is worth the trip. The new bartenders have really changed the feel of the bar, Kara, Amanda & Yanda are fun, happy & pay attention to when you need another drink. We enjoy going back to Jacks now!!
Country bar with great potential minus (line dancing instructors) show offs/floor take overs/ dont allow you to enjoy the dance floor/trying to make it for who knows who…
