First time we’ve eaten at Gor Gai Thai Food
(take out, delivered) Food was good, portions were generous, service was super fast! My husband thought that the medium spicy was too spicy, but I thought it was f
Busy place in Auburn with fast food delivery with the right amount of heat. People seemed to really enjoy the food. I will be back for lunch….
The food was average but the service was much worse. Half way through our meal we were asked to leave because they were out of room.
A cozy eatery. Service is quick. Food is delish. So far my fave dishes are Pad Prik King with prawns – green beans with red curry sauce, & ka na moo krob – crispy pork belly w/ Chinese broccoli. I should of tried the roti. Will go back to try more dishes.
Very limited seating. I had high hopes for a small spot. Service was terrible. Our waiter visited the table exactly 4 times: to take our order, to deliver 2/3 of the food, to deliver the 3rd entree, and to deliver the check immediately after all food had been delivered (which was followed up with “whenever you’re ready”). No check ups. No “how is everything?” No “can I get you anything else?” The Beef Pad Ga Tiem Prik Thai was a very small portion for the price, and very salty. It had to be eaten with the rice to balance it out, couldn’t be eaten alone. The Chicken Massaman Curry was really good, but almost too creamy. A little heavy on the coconut milk. The Shrimp Pad Thai was pretty good, but had sort of a sour/vinegar aftertaste that I couldn’t figure out. We went to Thailand on our honeymoon and judge all Thai restaurants on the authentic Thai cuisine we had, and only one place locally comes close. This doesn’t.
Nice little place! Clean, great service, fresh food comes out fast. We didn’t have to wait for a table on a Saturday afternoon. Pad gor gai noodles were tasty, something different from our normal pad see ew. Pad kao pra was pretty good but we should have got the larb instead as we were craving the lime flavor. Kanamoo krab was ok, the chinese broccoli was really good but the skin on the pork belly was too thick and hard to chew. Neua nam tok was very tasty, the flavor was like papaya salad. The thin slices of steak were very delicious. We ordered ice teas, they were pretty large and perfectly sweetened. I would go back next time we are down in Auburn.
AMAZING Thai food – if you live in the area, you absolutely need to try their food!
It’s all good, but I usually go with the Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken.
The food was okay, but way way overpriced for the portions served. Khoen Kaen down the street has much better Pad Thai and Curry with significantly bigger portions and significantly lower prices.
Small place, just a few tables and very popular. The service is a bit spotty. Things came to the table out of sequence. They forgot our drinks and brought dinner and dessert at the same time. The appetizer arrived last. I have to give it to them, they did their best and turned over tables quickly. The food tho! Delicious! No pictures because we scarfed everything down. There are several layers of flavor. I would say better than your average Thai place.
Really yummy food, great tunes. It could be cleaner in there, the bathroom was dirty and the door to the bathroom was disgusting.
From the minute you walk in, you can tell this is an authentic Thai eatery. Their spice racket is legit, with thick cut chili fish sauce, pickled peppers and the usual chili powder and paste. I ordered the pad thai and it was packed full of flavor. Be aware, when you order spicy, it is HOT! I will try the Tom Yum noodle soup next time because not many place has it, and I loved it in Thailand.
Always delicious Pad Thai.
When I make a call ahead order, sometimes I wait 10 mins and then drive there and they still haven’t even started my order, but other than that they are on point with the food.
Mad at myself for not finding this place sooner. It is the best Thai food I’ve had in a really long time. The fried beef with sriracha sauce is ridiculous, the pad gor gai of course is amazing, and my favorite thai dish, panang curry (had it with beef) was so good i had to force myself to stop. On top of this, the people that work here are really nice. Too busy stuffing my face to take any pix, maybe next visit!
So far my fav thai place in Auburn. before they open i would never go for any thai food unless im in Tukwila or Seattle
Enjoyed the phai Gor gai, or phai mai with the wide noodles is so good. Their Pahi Thai is so Good I haven’t tasted one close to it. Mucho Excellent!!!
This place is so amazing.the food is always perfect. I just hate that when we order food online, they won’t allow you to sit inside. It is a small place, so I do understand why. My go to food place definitely try
Surprisingly bigger than it seemed on the outside. Ample parking in their lot. The food was delicious and authentic but wasn’t outrageously expensive. Will come back for sure
This place is legit! The Pad MAMA, #30, is so good! My girlfriend got the #13, red curry with chicken and brown rice. The curry and coconut milk was perfectly balanced.
Best Thai food ever!! I’ve had A LOT of thai food, and they are by far the best. Very nice people. Fast and convenient, yet tastes like they put a lot of time and effort into their food. ? it.
Gor Gai is our go-to place for great Thai food. It’s small, so some busy nights seating requires patience. They do a lot of take-out too, as an option.
We’ve done at time (we can walk to it). We’ve tried a number of their dishes – all
Great Thai good with variety of dishes. Tried satay here for the first time and loved it! Can get quite busy in the evening, but you can call ahead and order!
Daring to say this is THE best restaurant in Auburn (in the valley). The owner is amazing and friendly, and the staff are always super helpful and quick. The food is amazing and super authentic. Take out is quick if you want a cozy night in. Or go with the fam and dine in. It’s super popular though and not a ton of seating, so plan your outing accordingly. Enjoy!
Has to be the best Thai I’ve had in a long time. Just hits the spot and comes with large portions. Would make a trip just for them.
Food quality is authentic as it said : street food. Environment is causal and open. Price is correlated to the food quality and service, but not the portion of the dish in comparing to Los Angeles Thai town. It is rare to find such good taste Thai food in Seattle.
This is some of the best Thai food in our area. I respect the fact that they can’t make substitutions or make dishes that are spicy, unspicy since it changes the whole dish.
I absolutely loved the Tom Kha soup. Get the brown rice as it has an excellent sweet nutty taste.
Very friendly even though we showed up 20 minutes from closing, the food was the best Thai I’ve had, the textures if the noodle dish we had were perfect not to mention the well balanced flavors.
Seems like a great up and coming place. Food was great. Their “medium” hotness was nice and hot, perfect for me who likes to still taste my food and not just drink gasoline and matches.
Whilst eating leftovers later that night I found a small rock in my rice. At least I assume that’s what it was, based on hardness. Then again, maybe it wasn’t Gor Gai, I have 4 kids, one of them could have been playing a trick trying to choke me to death.
Some of the best Thai food around. Small restaurant with ample parking and friendly staff. Have been many times and have not been disappointed once. In warmer temps they set up an outside eating area (no alcohol allowed while dining outside). I highly recommend the fish cake appetizer and the tom yum soup is the best I’ve ever had!
Normally a great place to eat but found a big black hair in my food. Disgusting! Brought it up to the owner and there was no apology and said that it didn’t come from his cooks. Unbelievable since I don’t even have black hair. The management is not very customer centric and I felt like he was blaming me for the hair. I couldn’t believe his attitude and he said that not all customers are going to be happy and seemed to take things very personally. It would have been easy to fix the situation but the manager was unwilling to do anything. He is very backwards in his thinking… blaming the customer and not taking responsibility for mistakes from his restaurant. Very disappointing customer service!
The food looked good but the owner is pretty rude. My friend regularly eats there with her coworkers and when she was waiting on two friends (myself and another friend), they were very busy and the owner was irritated that a table of three chairs was being taken when he could have been making more money and seating other guests so he asked her “are they still coming?” We we’re running about five minutes behind mind you. You shouldn’t treat a regular customer in that manner or any customer for that matter if you want people to return to your facility. Then he was frustrated that our friend was taking too long to decide what she wanted. He also didn’t take the time to split the check properly based on what both of them ordered and just lazily split it right down the middle. Then says to me “well maybe next time you will come hungry” because he was irritated that I didn’t order any food and just took up space in his restaurant. I don’t write reviews often but the fact that he would treat a regular PAYING customer unkind makes me want warn others about the type of person he is. I know I won’t be back! After telling my sister and brother in law about my experience today, my brother in law informed me that I missed out by not going to the Thai place down the road because it is AMAZING. It’s called Koong Thong. I’ll go there next for sure.
