11. Within the walls of this modest restaurant are warm & accommodating folks who craft (in our opinion) the most outstanding Mexican food in Spokane County. It’s worth the drive out to Cheney to experience their food.

12. Spent almost 20 bucks on a large burrito that was mostly rice, chips where horrible, salsa is mediocre, in contrast to other places quality of food is not near as good and it’s more expensive

23. The food was good but the high heat temperature inside the restaurant made dining in almost unbearable, I feel bad for the employees working in that kind of condition.

25. This has been my husband’s and my favorite place to eat for over a decade now. Even when the restaurant changed names, the food remained amazing! Generous portions of incredible food for a great price. We’ve never had a bad meal here.

36. I fully admit that we bounce between Arturo’s and Gerardo’s. Arturo’s has great food and the front end gal is nice. Fairly quick with the food even with big orders before us. They take care of you. What totally makes me go crazy hungry are the giant sized posters of their party platters on the wall.

    My kid ordered a burrito combo at one point and he didn’t expect the burrito to be the size of the container. We’ve had burritos but these were awesomely large. (Or normal for indy spots like this, which we aren’t really familiar with)

37. I have been going to arturo’s forever. Their food is always good. The service is great. Super salsa. I love this place.

38. It is a small restaurant ran by just a couple of people so it can be a little slow if they have a lot of take out orders. With that said the food was great and they were still friendly even though they were slammed. Will go here again if I am in Cheney.

44. So salty we could barely eat it. Soup came in two containers. One broth, one with meat and chips. Enchiladas tasted like it was from a can. Most bland Spanish rice we’ve ever had. We have ZERO plans on ever ordering again.

48. OMG the best Mexican food I have had in the Spokane area. It is a tiny little place in Cheney but the food is soooo good, better than Tecate, De Leons , Atilano`s. It is on par with grand Mexican restaurants in Seattle!!!!

51. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and stopped in before heading home. The food and portion size were fantastic. Seriously some of the best authentic Mexican food I’ve eaten in a long time and I used to live in New Mexico. Don’t hesitate to stop, you won’t be disappointed.

53. My go to place!! The cooks are the best, my food is delicious and the portions are filling!! I’m never disappointed. Every other Mexican restaurant in this area can’t compare. They have an authentic taste and so much flavor to their food! If you’re in Cheney this is the only Mexican food you need!

58. The waitress wouldn’t write down our order so that I ordered beef and got chicken and she delivered a log of a burrito that was the opposite of what we ordered. The burrito looked like a log and it wasn’t hot. I’ll never go back.

59. We decided to try a new place. And so glad we found Atruros. I can’t say enough good things. The prices and quality of the food was great. It is our new “go to” place for Mexican food.

61. Great food and good prices. I think this is the best Mexican food I had in the whole county. It reminds me of the El Tepeyac in Boyle Heights, but they make their version of the Manuel’s Special burrito good, if not better. There is a great selection here and the staff is very nice and attentive. One of the few restaurants, I would make a 30 to 40 minute drive to. 5 stars.

62. Ordered two burritos, no sour cream. They nailed it. My boyfriend got chicken and I got steak. So good, and came with free chips and salsa. Asked for more salsa for my burrito and they provided it, no questions asked. Food came out quick and was delicious!

64. Amazing food. Friendly staff, very quick service and free chips and salsa was a nice treat. The portions are big and I am so full I could only eat 2/3 fajitas tacos I got. So delicious. Will definitely be back. You can’t beat the price for what you get anywhere! Thank you 🙂

67. Great food, great people, good price. I definitely recommend Arturo’s food! The one downside was the cleanliness of the wall where we sat. There was obvious food/stains on the wall that had been there for some time, They were small in size, but still there and there was rice on my seat, to be fair they were busy, so we may have just chose a table that, although it had been cleared of dishes, it may not have been cleaned yet
    All in all a great place to get south of the border food, which I absolutely love for a decent price.

68. Quick drive from the south hill. Felt like a true Mexican restaurant! Chips and dip were yummie. Carna Asada y mas was great. Meat well cooked and tasty. We will be back!
