$60 for 2 people. Friendly staff. Food was good quality. Was nice to experience once but for those prices won’t be back.
Pretty delicious. Definitely glad I came here!
My first sourdough clam chowder bowl 🥣
The food was decent, but the nickel and dime stuff is a bit much…charging for water, sauce fee, credit card fee…the prices aren’t great to begin with, and that kind of approach (along with a lackluster customer service setup) leaves much to be desired.
We got there just before the lunch rush. The food was hot and tasty. Husband and I both got the combo and added white cheddar cheese curds. If we were smart we would have shared a combo. It’s a good amount of food. The clam strips were hit and miss with how chewy v tender they were but no matter, they tasted good.
Super fresh and delicious food. They were super busy but the staff was friendly and we got our food in just a few minutes. We’d definitely come back.
Very good food. (Fish taco is huge, but very good- share if you can.) A little spendy for a whole family. Overall good experience. One super friendly staff and one not so friendly. Has bar/drinks too.
We ordered the fish and chips with clams combo. Huge pieces of fish that were moist, not greasy or overcooked, and delicious. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. Clams were crispy yet soft, and the cocktail sauce was homemade with horseradish you could actually taste. Clam chowder was creamy good. We will be back soon!
We chose to sit in the bar and our servers were Leslie and Kevin they made it an excellent experience their service was to bar none. The food was excellent everything you would expect from a fish and chips shack. anywhere in the world. She made it a most enjoyable experience Leslie was very empathetic with our non-rushed approach to the day. The entire staff should be very proud of their efforts delivering a great experience. Thank you all.
The food was amazing only down fall was it’s self seating and you order up front. There was no tables so we had to eat outside and it was freezing
My cod was so flaky and moist and the tempura batter was delicious and not too greasy. I loved th fresh tasting coleslaw; no yucky mayo taste
We got food to go twice from Bennett’s this weekend. First order was the crab grilled cheese, melty gooey heaven heavy on the crab and flavor. The cranberry salad that had nuts, tender juicy chicken and lots of cranberries. The chowder was creamy, clammy and satisfying. The absolute star of the meal was the 6 for $15 oyster shooters. They were pristine with heavy on the horseradish probably house made cocktail sauce and a little lime wedge. Our second order was more oyster shoots after a fantastic romp on the beach. Bennett’s does not disappoint and brings the delicious.
$2 for a cup of water. Sysco fries and very poor quality $20 crab melt. Also the vibes were just weird walking up to the front counter to order. Will not go again.
Amazing food! Best seasoned fries I’ve ever had (and I’m pretty particular about fries)! Normally I dislike fried fish, but braved the odds after seeing Google review photos. I am not disappointed as the cod and chips meal was fresh, hot, crispy, and cooked to perfection!
I love that we didn’t have to ask for add-on condiments like tarter, ketchup, lemon, catsup. They came with our meal automatically.
Service was nice and quick- less than a 5 minute wait.
I highly recommend for a grab-and-go lunch to have while watching the waves on the beach 😁🌊
Thank you Bennett’s and staff! We’ll definitely be bringing our business back!
When we first walked in we were not greeted with kindness. Just told to place the order before we sat down and weren’t given even 2 minutes to review the menu on the wall….After waiting 40 minutes for the food (not crowded), Nothing was warm. Too much bread on the fish which was very small. Paid over $65 for 2 soups, 1 fish and chips, 2 soda’s and a side salad that was wilted.
Very disappointing, considering it was so hyped up by reviews.
Maybe it was an off day, but the way the front people behaved, both my son and I won’t ever go back.
The decorations were great and they had disabled parking..
They tried to give my daughter raw chicken! it wasn’t even close. I pulled the chicken strip apart, to cool it down faster, and the inside was cold, and completely raw. They offered no apology when I brought it to the counter. I got a cheeseburger for my daughter instead, and when the cook brought it over, he glared at us, and tossed it on the table. Completely unacceptable. It was also over $100 for the 4 of us
I have always ordered the cranberry coast salad, with a extra side of dressing, today I received a salad lite on all the condiments( red onions, cashews, cranberry, and feta) and then the dressing was not mixed in the salad…only the side dressing. Very disappointed. Will be the last time I order it.
If you like fish n chips but you have never had Bennets you have not lived. Just call out and head to ocean shores now. Seriously your wasting time. Get you the combo battered cod or halibut. Your welcome.
Really overpriced! We ate in the bar, friendly bartender, & wait staff. Food was just ok, really disappointed. Two piece fish & chips portion was huge but not very tasty. Clam strips were more like nuggets not strips. Coleslaw not very flavorful. About $90 including tip.
Really enjoyed this place. We had a bowl of clam chowder that was excellent. We ordered cod and halibut with chips. Both meals were awesome. Food came quickly and the staff was friendly. That’s all you can ask for these days. Will definitely be back!
Really good food. Very hot and very fresh. The prawns were awesome. Fast curbside pickup. A bit pricey but for the quality and a decent quantity I could see why.
The food was good & the good place was packed! The server was trying to help us find a table & was suggesting us to sit in the bar, there no seats so he suggested to sit outside with a heater it was so cold & then he suggested the bar again trying to be helpful but there still wasn’t a seat. Finally a seat opened up & we sat down. The same young man came over to the table while we were eating to check in on us & we asked for water he brought us bottle water free is charge. Now that’s what I call service!
Very good fish and chips, unique atmosphere, order your food, self service on drinks (I went back for refills). It was very good eats. Bit $$$ but its seafood
Friendly service and attentive. Pleasantly surprised at size portion of cod. Had the salad rather than French fries and was surprised at the how good the Ceasar salad was. Included sliced avocado cherry tomatoes etc. Had a coffee which turned out to be a venti with refill. Good coffee. Would definitely return.
Literally THE BEST cheese curds I have ever experienced to date!!! The Garlic ones were to die for, cant wait to try the other flavors. Also large portions, and a delicious clam chowder bread bowl!! Would definitely eat here again when we come back to visit Ocean Shores!!
Great food, awesome and fun presentation, and amazingly nice and helpful
staff. Super clean and fare prices. We ordered the battered cod, hand breaded halibut, cheese curds and raspberry lemonades, all of which are awesome.
A great local spot. My favorite fish and chips in town – cod is beer batter and halibut is breaded both cooked perfectly every time. Gets really busy during lunch and dinner but there is indoor and outdoor seating.
Good although ordering upfront wasn’t evident. Odd to keep getting up to order and pay first if I decided I want something else or another beer. Dinning area felt like it we would have menus and serving staff checking on us but not the case.
Food was ok. Prime rib melt was good. The halibut was pretty good. I’m just not a fan of the breading. The battered fish was almost burnt tho. Best thing was the fries. Very large portions and on the expensive side. Definitely say some people could share an entree it’s so much. Except the kids was well priced for a large portion of fish.
Very impressed with this tourist eatery. The burgers are stacked and the fries are crispy and hot. I had the prime rib sandwich and the au jus was some of the best I’ve had while the sandwich was made to perfection. We’ll definitely be coming back to this place every time we are in town.
The menu had me so excited, however upon getting the food I was disappointed. The crab sandwich had no flavor. The clam chowder was pretty bland except for the celery and carrots. And my bread bowl was nearly half bread not soup. The soda fountain looked like fun flavors but all tasted as if they were using half the syrup that was supposed to be used. Will not be going back.
What a Gem of a restaurant! I have never eaten here. I was in town for a little “rest and relaxation” by the Ocean. They are open until 9:00 p.m. One of the only eating establishments in Ocean Shores that stays open later. My daughter and I, had dinner here on Friday night and we both had their fish and chips. The cod pieces were incredibly large and crispy, served with delicious home fries. Top with lemon and balsamic vinegar and a ‘house made’ tartar sauce and we were in heaven.
We thoroughly enjoyed our fish and chips, so we decided to take the rest of our family there for lunch the next day. They have excellent burgers! We ordered the ‘Smoked Applewood Bacon Cheeseburger’ and the ‘Western burger’. We also ordered the ‘Prime Rib Sandwich’, which was also delicious.
I will definitely make this a stop the next time we go to Ocean Shores. The atmosphere in the restaurant was that of a Country Pub, family friendly, and a great looking bar in the back. It has a little something for everyone.
Also, they have a unique soda fountain selection with delicious varieties; such as, pineapple cream soda, black cherry cola and agave cream soda and regular cola. You will not be disappointed.
For years my husband and I travel to Ocean Shores with our kids. And we need always wanted to stop here finally we did! And man oh man will I always always return return!!! This had to be the freshest best tasting and affordable food I’ve had and such a long time period with the market increase the prices are still reasonable. Customer service was excellent and the food spoke for itself. We’re here this week and I can’t wait to go tomorrow! Now the only problem is narrowing down what to try next 😁
-Stay smiling and keep up the good work!

First of all you order and pay for food before it arrives . Second our food showed up before to drinks from the bar which were not drinks we asked for a double crown and coke and a margarita and got a diet coke with no crown an what appeared to my a file attempt at a lemon lime something we now have a home here and will never be back
The staff was nice, however the food was tasteless and overpriced. Ordered the cod combo, Dungeness crab melt, and fresh oysters which should be called fried oysters(wouldn’t recommend) . Good amount of food but just tasted cheap.
My boyfriend an me an our friend came here to try out this local lunch spot. It was my first time visiting ocean shores. I would recommend ordering the halibut fish an upgrading to a clam chowder. An asking for more lemons. You have to order an pay at the counter. It had a outside deck as well.
THE BEST FOOD IN OCEAN SHORES ….4 👍 REAL 😋
ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD 2 THEIR INCREDIBLE CRANBERRY COAST SALAD 🥗… PRIME RIB MELT 😋 😍 & BURGERS R ALL AMAZING 👏 😋 🙌 😀
CANT WAIT 2 BRING MY FAMILY IN MAY !!!
Wonderful food, wonderful service. Our waiters were incredibly nice and the food came within 7 minutes of our order. All of us were very pleased with our meals. I would definitely recommend going here if you are in the area.
Okay food for price. Self order and get your own condiments like a fast food place. Had the Crab sandwich with fries…very expensive for what you get. Staff seemed friendly. I probably wouldn’t go back.
My husband and I stopped here for lunch and loved it! We had the crab melt and the crab cocktail – both really good. Also the fountain drinks were unique and yummy, and the bar tender was generous. (We shared a soda and each had an adult beverage.) The porch is dog friendly, so our pup got to hang with us while we ate. Great vibe, great food, nice employees – perfect lunch spot!
Went Healthy, appetizer: Cheese Curds with Bacon Cheese Burger & Fries and washed down with a Hefe. Fast, friendly service. Large portions and really good taste.
Definitely going back.
Went back, still Great food & drink.
Placed to go order, paid, left and ran couple errands, received email notifying when order was ready, 15 minutes, drove to pick-up area, sent message was there, they brought my order out complete, delicious prime rib, excellent Fish Tacos, and professionally done.
We stood in a long line and waited to order and then had to wait to find a table 4 of us could sit together. We had cod fish and chips and it was the best I have ever had. I wish it wasn’t so crowded and noisy, but those fish sticks made it worth it.
The deep fried oysters were fresh and perfect, as well as the crab cakes. Bought a decent sized jar of tartar sauce and it’s well worth it. Everyone there was friendly and upbeat. Thank you!
1 order halibut and chips
1 order clam strips and chips
2 stars because each dish was edible.
Halibut was flavorless if you exclude the taste of the breading.
Clam strips were over cooked, tasteless and breading may as well have been burnt. How do you mess up clam strips when the beach front is like 300 feet away… would not recommend.
I had a great dinner tonight. It was extremely busy with a long line to get in. My wife and I went into the bar and each ordered a large clam chowder, fries, and cold beer. The bar tender was awesome. He really took good care of us. The food was on our table quick. Great chowder, thick and chunky. Delicious.
We’ll be back.
Mostly delicious! Clams weren’t so good. Crab cakes and fish were great! Good taps to choose from. No water except in a big plastic bottle that u have to pay extra for(and they don’t mention that when they ask if you’d like water).
The GF prime rib burger is the best burger I have ever tasted! The service was great, and fairly quick. There was a line to use the restroom & it looked like they had not been cleaned in a week(at least). Although, this would not stop me from picking up another burger!
Ordered oyster shoots, halibut combo, and crab melt. All the fish and shellfish was extremely fresh and well seasoned. The melt mix could use a little more salt to bring those flavors out, but I would still order it again.
We walked in at the “end” of a rush, we waited a bit for our orders to be taken, looks like the staff was Resetting and catching up on stuff that they ran out of or got forgotten about during the rush. From us walking In the door to us leaving full, it took less than 45 minutes. Will be back.
We come to Bennetts every time we are in town. The food is always really good, and this location in Ocean shores has great drinks. I decided to write a review this time though because of the exceptional customer service. Everyone from the guy taking our order, to the gal brining our food. Everyone was super kind and professional.
Patio was nice, service was good, but food is overpriced. I like cheese, but I don’t like spending about $40 on a beer and a sandwich. The crab was good, but I want more of that vs a melt which is stuffed with a mix and tons of cheese. Maybe some people prefer it that way, and it does taste good, but it’s a bad value proposition. Fries are pretty good, plenty of them as well.
Had been missing Bennett’s Fish Shack the last few times we’ve been in town. So finally the stars were aligned n was able to get the fish n chips. Sat in the bar with great service n drinks. Great food n atmosphere! Highly recommended!💚
Atmosphere was nice. Staff was friendly. Sodas were amazing. (Fun and unique varieties at a pour your own station.) But the crab and cheddar melt was a crab salad (i.e. like chicken salad or tuna salad) with a lot of onions and celery and think it was mayo and was bland and not much crab. The beef sandwich was better. Would try this place again but will skip the crab melt.
The prices have risen so high lately it is undoable. They should have a locals discount or something. Not sure we can afford $70.00 for 2 people to eat.
The food here was sooooo good my husband got the crab melt and I got the battered cod! You honestly pay for what you get!! Also we got some cheese curds and it they were fantastic!! Love the vibe and the staff! Can’t wait to return!!!
The food was good, but not 107 dollars good, you have to wait in line to order then try and find a place to sit so they can bring your food, that’s it, you get your own drinks, sauces, ect.. And if you use a card there is an automatic 2.25% charge added, so bring your wallet
Bennett’s is always great. I always get halibut & side salad instead of chips. The ceasar side salad is awesome with tons of dressing & cheese. I had 2 cherry tomatoes & a peppercini it. The halibut was delicious as usual. The Jameson Mule at the bar was awesome & the bar staff was fun. Not cheap though but was a nice treat. $130 for 2 dinners & 3 bar drinks with 25% tip. Totally worth it. Food & atmosphere was awesome in the bar.
Could be the best Fish and Chips I have every had. Crispy, flavorful and large pieces of cod, the freshest french fries perfectly cut and amazing clam chowder made our lunch one that we’ll remember for a very long time. The price for high quality is there, not the cheapest in town but in our opinion the best. Cannot wait to have a repeat because there is nothing like it, or at least I’ve not found it yet, in the Mill Creek / South Everett area.
Fish and chips excellent.
I tried there clam chowder and it was horrible. My wife tried it to and spit it out.
Everyone at our table who ordered chicken said it was ok but not something theyd order again.
I was a little upset, being someone who is in ocean shores frequently and dined here several times before and always enjoyed it. Hopefully it was a one time occurrence.
Excellent fish and chips. A bit pricy but worth it. Beware, if the parking lot is full, there will be a wait. A half hour wait from ordering to table at 1pm on a Thursday. There are kids items, but our 2 grandkids split a regular fish and chips just fine.
They also have a small bar on site.
Update 2022-05:
Still excellent. A cod and chips is plenty for 2. The fries are properly referred to as ‘fabulous’. The clam chowder is rich with clam and thick with potato.
Spendy, but good. It feels a little too casual for their prices. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. Also, weird thing..no tap water. You must buy bottled. I’d recommend passing on the chowder. Cod and chips is delish though!
We have been ordering takeout at Bennett’s for 2 years now. Tonight when I went to order I was referred to an app. Fine…I have no problems with apps…I ordered our usual 2 primerib french dip. No onions were ordered. Both sandwiches had cold bread, tough roast beef and grilled onions. The french fries were cold. The app had no way to identify my vehicle. I sat on the east side of the building as I used to for several minutes. When I finally went inside the young man said he didn’t see me…or the other car parked with me…we were disappointed to say the least tonight.
I had the Cod and fries. It was cooked so the cod was hot but not over done. Fries were hot too. I think the food is cooked once you order. My spouse had the burger of the day. According to her, perfect in all aspects. We will return to this place again. We recommend to others.
