Ownership change, food has changed and is different. I’ve been a customer for 25yrs- Hot n Sour soup was awesome, now a recipe change and it’s not. Same on the Mongolian beef, spicy diced chicken, all changed.
Why would you buy an existing successful business and change it?

Very friendly and attentive server. Very clean, calm , very relaxing decorations and atmosphere.
Food servings are huge! I ordered the lunch special bean curd with vegetables. WOW. Lots of different veggies compared to all othere Chinese restaurants I have been to. The veggies that I see are snap peas, baby corn, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, zucchini and onions. I did also order the appetizer chicken wings thinking “need” more food. Nope! I had to get take out boxes.
Also, the wings are deliciously crispy outside and juicy inside. They are “whole wings” style just like rhe ones I remember eating at street hawker’s stalls in Malaysia and Singapore. Yes, my dear American friends, the wing tips and all.That’s the best part if cooked right 🙂
I order the beef & broccoli and taste like authentic Asian food, I would definitely order it again!
Rice and noodles were OK. The sweet and sour pork and the sweet and sour chicken were overdone. A real let down.
I have been here 2 times. The first time the food was good. Mainly, I went there for the almond fried chicken. It was cooked as it should be. Moist chicken, crunchy breading and a bit of sauce drizzled over the top.
The second time I believe they knew they overcooked the chicken and they should have thrown it away. I am not prone to exaggeration and this is exactly how it was.
The bag seemed a little heavy when I left, but I didn’t think much about it. I got home (about 7 minute trip) and there was gravy spilling in the bag. I carefully opened the container and it was full of gravy. You could barely see the upmost top of the breading. Biting into the chicken was like biting into a rubber eraser.
So, I think they knew it was overdone and tried to cover it up with massive amounts of gravy.
I can’t trust them enough to go back.
Unfortunately, China house has been bought out by another owner and when that happened the quality of food has plummeted which is a bummer because China House was literally my favorite Chinese food location in Auburn. The prices are down but the quality is lacking severely!

Food is really good. The servers are really sweet and kind.
We ordered a combination dinner with a side of pork fried rice and a tub of wonton soup. We live an hour away and where we live there are no Chinese restaurants. We were passing by Auburn and decided to give it a try. We got home and realized that we did not get our tub of wonton soup but instead got a tub of egg drop soup which none of us like (that’s $12 down the drain, literally). We didn’t even get a portion of wonton soup that was supposed to come with our combination dinner. We called the restaurant and told them our order was wrong and they said we could come back but after telling them we live an hour away they said that if we come back they’ll give us a free wonton soup. We are very dissapointed with our experience, especially the lack luster customer service.

New owners. Not the same quality or attention to small details. Was a loyal customer for over 20 years. Kinda sad to see it happen but will never forget the good experiences we had.
The food is good and the service are vary welcome.
Everything about it was just okay. The food was okay, the service was okay, the place itself was ok. However, the chicken dish we ordered ruined my stomach but didn’t bother anyone else in my family.
I suspect that this is because I have a sensitivity to shrimp, and the way that they prepared the dish introduced some into my chicken. If I had a shellfish allergy that resulted in anaphylaxis, I might have been really screwed. Add to this the fact that it felt a little pricey and 2 stars it is.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices here, as long as they’re not cooking the vegetables in the same pan used for shrimp and other meats.
