I had the Friday prime rib special. It was the toughest prime I have ever had. I couldn’t cut it with my pocket knife (which is [was] very sharp. They gave me a carving knife and it still wouldn’t cut. I gave up. Should have been comp’d for at least part of the meal since it was almost inedible. But nothing.
Average BBQ at high prices. Almost $14 for a pulled pork sandwich with a small bag of chips and no fries. Don’t go after 5pm if you want a burger or a choice of their whole menu. They were out of several things.
Enjoyed an excellent cheeseburger with fries. The staff was very friendly.
My experience here was alright. They were only serving chicken and pulled pork, and they weren’t selling burgers because it was past 5 pm. They let us order and after we did the server informed us that they ran out of pulled pork and we ended up having to wait 45 minutes for our dinner. The staff was really friendly though!
The owner recommended the Tombstone and it ruled. Best corn bread I’ve ever had. My BBQ-loving wife would recommend it in a second.
Friendly staff, ok food. We have had better and worse, but it was the tail end of their week so I think that played a part. The ribs were falling off the bone, baked potato was decent. Could have used some sauce on the meats, but it’s another small place that is being impacted by the times and world events. We were given some extras to help compensate for some of the issues, which was great. I think it’s worth trying at a different time of day and day of the week to see how it is.
So good! My husband and I love BBQ and this is one of the best places we have ever been! The food was amazing and they took the time to answer the questions about my allergies. Next time we come to ocean shores we will be returning!
Portions were really small given the price. Menu was limited due to the time of day, but it seemed that the staff was trying to stretch what was left of the brisket.
Just had an absolutely amazing lunch. Platter had brisket, bbq chicken, ribs, 2 sides $35. This was for 2
Good service, good meat, yummy sides. Sold out of brisket sadly but everything else was amazing
Worst BBQ I’ve ever had. Chicken was burnt. Brisket was flavorless. Had to spit out the Mac n Cheese. Tasted like flour. Ugh…
We had Double Barrel BBQ cater our meeting on Saturday and it was incredible!! June and her crew went out of their way to give us the best food and service throught the day. Food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Thank you June, for taking such good care of our association and for all of your attention to details. You did an amazing job!!
Great ppl, had the ribs and chicken combo and they were very tasty. BBQ sauce was unique, loaded with flavor and a touch spicy….can’t wait to go back
Food was awesome. The girl running the kitchen was super kind and helpful to our family. The bbq sauce isn’t gluten free which is odd. It’s actually hard to find a bbq sauce that has gluten in it so to make it that way in this day and age is an odd choice
Every thing was burnt .to the point it tasted burnt. Check before leaving. We ordered to go.not sure how so highly rated.
