Really great food in a fun, casual setting. Been here twice and enjoyed everything we’ve tried: Island Fried Rice, Hue Soup, Kimchi Mandu Soup, Jajangmyeon, Japchae, and Yakisoba.

The hand-drawn chalk menus at each table are so cool 😎

The Drunken Noodles with grilled chicken is incredible! Excellent flavor! Customer service is wonderful as well!

I’ve been twice (once for takeout, once sit down) and I cannot wait to go back. The fusion flavors (noodle category of the menu is my personal favorite) explode in your mouth and the atmosphere is simple but pleasant and comfortable. The service is attentive and super polite. This place doesn’t get as much lip service or buzz as other Thai/fusion places in town but easily better than most of those places.

Fantastic drunken noodles with bulgogi beef. People here are very friendly!

    Update: Ate through menu. Amazing!

Excellent consistency. Excellent service. I am eating my way through the menu and everything I try is my new favorite. I cannot gush more on how good this food is AND the hand drawn menus at each table are the cutest thing ever. So, if you are looking for Asian food on flavor blast, get some G Boat!

Delicious, fresh and flavorful. We ordered the beef pho and loved the rich and complex broth. The fried rice with char sui had just the right seasoning and splash of curry. We thought if the pork was cut smaller it may have a preferable texture but miss out on the bite. The Japchae with sweet potato noodles were pleasantly tender delicious and also seasoned well. The table utensils and family style setup makes sharing multiple entrees possible and enjoyable. Well worth a visit.

We’re in Bellingham for the weekend and were looking for something other than the usual burger or taco type fare. Ginger Boat staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and the food is incredibly good.

Great bang for your buck. Best Asian food in Bellingham. Great ambiance and chill vibes. The staff is also very friendly and nice. Plenty of vegan options as well.

Ordered gyoza and the chicken and gyoza combo. Gyoza was super crispy and piping hot, chicken teriyaki was good, but the rice was unfortunately quite mushy. Fix that and the meal would have been perfect.

Best teriyaki that I’ve found on the I5 corridor. They are in my backyard so I go that goin’ for me,,, which is nice. All their food is wonderful, I love the spicy fried rice. Rolls are Very good. Thanks for your efforts.

One of my favorite places to eat in Bellingham. Good food, Great prices! Friendly staff!
Good food, great pho, fun decor! Took a point off because the place smelled like Glade plug in, which I don’t like smelling with my food.

Super delicious food for an extremely reasonable price. Ordered the Shanghai chicken noodles and the pork egg rolls to go. The vibe inside though is just really really nice and the cashier is really friendly.

The staff were super sweet and the smell inside was divine! I was slightly early to pick my food up but only waited a couple minutes to be handed hot fresh food. We got jajangmyeon with pork (they give you Korean pickled radish with it too which is awesome!), two japchae, one with beef one and chicken, and some gyoza. All of it tastes wonderful and I hope to come back again soon! Super yummy!

Years Later Update: The food, the service, the atmosphere and again, the consistency at such a high level. Gboat is the embodiment of how a family restaurant should feel, serve and satisfy.

About to walk into another restaurant and I happened to glance back at my car and saw the OPEN sign lit up! GInger is back baby and better than ever. SO consistent and SO good. They take your order at the counter like EVERY teriyaki type restaurant, dear lord Chi H, 4 starts?! Anyway, where was I….oh yes, the food is unique and not in a weird way, in all the best ways. The fried rice is like no other fried rice you have had and is my son’s favorite (he only will eat fried rice…). The drunken noodle is a great place to start if you are trying them out.

Great hidden gem. We’re big on Asian cuisine and can vouch on the quality here. The Jajangmyeon is terrific and the portion sizes were huge for a very reasonable price. Most mains are 15 dollars or so which accompanied with great service and a clean establishment makes this a great place to dine!
