My sons, kids hamburger was still dark red on one side, not the center, a side. Waitress says we try for a medeium rare…. really? My adult burger had no pink.
My husband and I have taken the family here twice. Each time the food was always great! This time I wanted to give a shout out to Ashley, the witty red headed server. She was great with our kids (4 and 10) and just had the funniest responses to whatever we had to say. These are my favorite kinds of people. Thank you. You’re awesome, Ashley! Love, the dreaded parents and blonde kids. 😂
Food here is always good but service is better. Ryan recommended I added Buffalo sauce to my shrimp Po Boy and it did not disappoint. They have gluten free buns and know how to make a meal. Thank you Ryan, I have a new favorite here!
Fantastic! Was in town for 3 weeks for work and it was my go to place 4 times! Larry has a great team in place. Beer is ice cold, food is delicious and it looks like everyone really enjoys working there which makes for a great experience for me as a customer. Special shout out to Ryan and Bran. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town. Highly, HIGHLY recommended!!
Have gone an tried 3 different times with my family. Can’t seem to get even a decent experience food wise or service. My youngest son an I even got sick after eating here. It’s a convenient location when out shopping or to see a movie, but moat likely won’t be back unfortunately do to terribly cooked food and poor service.
Food here is much better than what you would expect from a place inside a Mall. Service has been consistently good every time as well.
Good service but spent $50 for 2 burgers and soda. Bacon was not cooked, and burger was not good. Very disappointed.
Hamburgers were very good french fries were good. Drinks were constantly brought out before they were dry. Hostesses & servers were excellent
THIS WAS NOT A POSITIVE REVIEW READ YOUR REVIEWS BETTER OWNER!!! Food is OK (other then being cold everytime) this was the 3rd time my meal was cold upon arriving at our table waiter was ok nice but definitely could be better my pop has been watered down like machine is out twice now drinks are never kept full have to ask for a refill just to wait forever to get it I find it very unpleasant I understand stuff happen but 3 times now come on I get if your busy accidents happen but when their are only a total of 3 table is their no accuse I have spent good money here 3 times now to feel totally unpleasant and unsatisfied with my service and food I do not think I’ll be back I feel like I gave it a chance 3 times with no solution to the issue
Outstanding! Today was our first time visiting this fine establishment and were very pleased. Many people at my work strongly recommended it. Our server Justin was excellent! Even the manager stopped by to say hello. Our order arrived quickly and was supurb as well. Needless to say, we will return frequently and test out the rest of the menu. I had the Fiesta Mac and Cheese (pictured). Very highly recommend everyone does the same!
2/18/22 update: Another fine evening. Took the wife here for her birthday and we both enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend the beef dip so you can check out their amazing horseradish sauce. Wow! Great stuff!
Servers were always smiling and happy. Excellent customer service. And the food was yummy!
We came here for the first time a couple weeks ago, the food and drinks were delicious at a reasonable price, and customer service was great!
Walked in, was told a 15 minute wait, waited for 40 mins, and got removed from the waiting list. Asked why and was told “well there’s seating at the bar”.
Updated: Leaving the review as written, but updating the star rating. The owner made things right which we really appreciate.
We did a takeout order over the phone. Got there a few minutes early and was told it wasn’t ready yet (which was fine) but after waiting longer than expected I went and looked at the to-go bags that I saw had been sitting on the shelf for at least 5 minutes. It turns out it was our order and I had to hunt down the hostess to pay.
There were numerous mistakes with the order. They did not give us our fry sauce, the rib tips didn’t come with the pita bread, and some sandwich toppings we asked for on the side just did not come in the order at all. The triple threat chicken sandwich didn’t have pepper jack and the fried chicken just tasted like regular fried chicken (which was still good, but where was the Cajun?). The sandwich was still good but not spicy at all. The rib tips also didn’t seem like they had any BBQ sauce on them. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to come on the side, but we had to add BBQ sauce at home.
Overall the food was good but the frustration in having to find my own order during pick-up and the number of mistakes on the order made for a disappointing experience. Not really feeling inclined to go back anytime soon.
Burger was great. I have 5 or more burgers a week when I’m on the road. I got the black and Bleu burger, add jalapenos, it was fantastic. Got the fries which were very well cooked, however the fry sauce was overly sweet. Beer selection was good as well.
Food and service was great, the 3 stars, because The place smells very dank. Kind of like grandmas basement. Carpet in a restaurant is never a good idea because you can never get rid of the odors. But that’s just my opinion
Our server Ryan was absolutely, without question, phenomenal! From beginning to end our meal was great. The kids were happy. We had everything we wanted and more. It was such a wonderful experience that our kids even gave out hugs to Ryan as we left. He was so friendly and attentive, you couldn’t ask for better. I’m definitely coming back again. 😊
I ordered the alaskan cod and chips. I was very dissatisfied. Mostly breading and very little fish. The beer was good but not enough to offset the dissappointing meal.
But overpriced for the quality of food. Silverware was dirty as well, but the server was very polite and quick.
This was my second time here and both times were very underwhelming.. probably won’t be returning.
Pleasantly surprised! Friendly professional staff. Prompt service, delicious food and adult beverages. A hidden gem.
This is my favorite restaurant. Great menu choices, great drink choices and I have never had a bad experience with the service in the over 10 times I have visited.
The staff are so friendly! I took my daughter here for her 10th birthday. The food was good and our drinks were great. She told me it was her favorite birthday lunch ever!
A tried and true yummy chain from Seattle to Spokane. Good drinks, good food and good atmosphere.
I’m not sure of his name but he was a host and I asked if they had any mozzarella sticks and he said they were all out. And then he comes out later and said they had 3 left. They were amazing. It is amazing here!!!!
We ordered a BOWL ( not a cup ) of chowder and chicken noodle soup , a caesar salad with shrimp and some donuts .
The ” bowl ” was less than a cup ( for both ) . The $15 caesar salad only came with 4 shrimp. And the donuts were hard and stale .
We called as soon as we got the order and we spoke with Brady about it. He sounded like he was irritated with us calling , and said that he would give us our money back and he hasn’t ‘t.
Great food, good prices, and friendly staff. I’ve ordered several different items here before and they’ve all been really good. Whether it’s with the family or with friends, definitely a great atmosphere.
This was saved by the new guy that waited on us…we were sat down on a busy day and a couple of groups after us were waited on 1st…I can’t remember the kids name but he was great from the moment he said hello…..normally the service is better but the food is always on point!
I would and have driven 175 miles to go to this place, food excellent, staff, very friendly and helpful. The strawberry lemon drop is the best thing on the planet according to my better half. The house amber is also very good. Portions are large, even the appetizers, love the coconut shrimp!!! Have never been disappointed when we go there. And Jennifer is an awesome bartender.
Honestly this would have been a 5 star review for the past several years.
Then they ditched their fantastic fries for what I can only describe as trash.
We used to go once or twice per month, since this change we just have no interest.
Bring back your old, much better fries.
Really good food, delicious onion rings, chicken strips too! Our server Tara was helpful with menu suggestions and food served hot!
It was an interesting night to dine here for sure. Our waiter dropped a tray of water on me and our table. Which is fine, accidents happen. The waiter felt bad and was very apologetic. Ya mortifying. It also turns out they were having trouble with the beer taps tonight. Most of the beers my table asked for were either out or the bar was having issues pouring. Trying figure out what beers they normally have is difficult with the QR code and the list it pulls up. It is easier to just ask the waiter. Food was delicious and the waiter was attentive to our needs. Would have been nice to have part of the meal discounted or a complimentary dessert (or something) for the spilled water and lack of beer choices but that didn’t happen. I’m sure on a normal night things would have been better. Everyone has an off night. I will return for sure.
A nice find at Spokane Valley Mall. My friend had the best burger ever, or so she said.
I ALWAYS have a great time, with great food AND service at any Hops n Drops! I had the jalepeno cream cheese burger and it was delicious!! Great taste and flavor! Combined with their awesome tator tots, you can’t go wrong!! Highly recommend Hops n Drops!!!
Great bartender. The rib tips are not to be missed. The cheese dip is not so great, unless you want a bowl of taco bell.
First time here and last. The food was very disappointing. I had the “street tacos” which were far from any actual street taco. Dry meat, no flavor, cold and besides being dry the meat was chewy like rubber. There salsa was tasteless and their guacamole had nothing but chucks of onions in it. The chips that came with it were over salted and left a pasty taste in my mouth. Had the French onion soup which was average, nothing special. The food in general was very disappointing.
Our server was a nice guy but did seem to be busy and took awhile to return to the table. The girls bringing out the food to our table were very unprofessional as they basically threw our plates down like they were throwing a frisbee.
Not worth the $94 that I paid.
The staff is extremely professional and friendly, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Come check it out, you’ll be happy you did!
The burger was delicious. It reminded me of a red Robin restaurant with less annoying decor and better tasting food. The prices were a little high for the quality/quantity of food and decor. I ordered their top shelf margarita to-go. The waitress brought me my drink in a little plastic cup (smaller cup then a kids soda) that was about 25% full. The waitress said she didn’t put any ice it in because it was to-go. Which is fine, what wasn’t fine was that I was paying $14 for something that was equivalent in size to a “shot” but somehow had tequila, triple sec, lime and sweetener in it. If it was a $3 margarita at some local Mexican dive bar on taco Tuesday I would understand but this was a sit down restaurant and their top shelf drink.
We ordered a Lemon Drop, chicken strips with tots. The Lemon Drop is perhaps the best in Spokane. Chicken was hand breaded and cooled to perfection and served with three dipping sauces. We were also offered different sauces. Tots were cooked perfectly. The wait staff were pleasant and fast!
My wife and I were lucky enough to stop by here during Happy Hour(2-6) so we were able to sample several items without breaking the bank. Rib Tips and Garlic Fries were both outstanding. In fact the fries were so good I met a friend here a week later, just so I could get those fries again! Everything else; Potato Chip Nachos, Boneless Chicken Wings, Sriracha Shrimp, & Fish Tacos is executed superbly. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
Burger was good, onion soup was amazing and the drinks were all good. Only concern I had was the waitress brought us our receipt without asking whether we needed anything else. I felt terrible asking for their specialty lemon drop which I was dying to try. I still ordered it and it was amazing but would have been nice for her to ask before closing our tab. It was only 8pm on a Saturday . Overall, nice place to kick back.
This is another one of my favorite spots in the valley. Has a really good menu and great food! Staff has always been so nice.
The burgers are amazing, especially my personal favorite, their jalapeños cream cheese, but i have had on multiple occasions, regarding the last few months, my order would take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes to arrive, on three occasions my order was mistaken as a western burger instead of the delicious black n blue item or mushroom burger, personally im not picky so i dont complain, but it appears the staff themselves arnt happy, i could easily hear complaints from sitting at the bar, from the cooking line. But what irritated me the most was being able to see my food in the window, while others talked, gossiping if you would, while i waited for a good ten minutes at least, i had an appointment i needed to make, so i decided to take my food out to go.
Again the burger was delicious, but someone should definitely talk to the staff, they are obviously not happy.
And i feel i must add, i sat next to a gentleman who appeared to have ordered something, that wasnt on the menu once so ever, again, it looked amazing, but i felt it was unfair.
Delicious food, but questionable appreciation of the staff.
Great food! I had fish tacos and my companion had the turkey avocado club. Both were great. Good prices too.
Not bad food and they accommodated my food allergies. Portions were good and the taste and quality were just fine.
Good all beef burgers!
The ranch and onion sauce were SO GOOD!
Bottomless huckleberry tea will be a must in the future.
Our server was super good too.
Definitely will stop back
Food is great. But it’s really unprofessional to see multiple staff members standing around and gossiping while 1 or 2 other staff members are doing ALL the other work. I watched multiple staff sit and talk for 5+ minutes while one guy was taking everyone’s food to the tables for them and bussing as well plus taking his own tables. This isn’t the first time i’ve seen this.
We tried Hops and Drops for the first time because we were at the mall. Food was great and service was fast, even though the place was really busy! Will definitely be going back.
I had a $15 grilled cheese here.
Food is good, service is always great. Unfortunately it is drafty and cold if you sit any where near the mall or main door.
