The food is amazing, so much better than some other bbq places.
The BBQ Sunday,,,,,, Get Some‼️💯
Possibly the best damn brisket North of Dixie! Sweet tea is more like sweetened tea but they have sugar available to bring it up to Southern standards. Sandwiches are big enough to be filling and tasty enough to satisfy. Definitely cheaper than a plane ticket home.
What an adorably cute and rustic looking BBQ spot!
** Full disclosure: My husband and I have driven past this restaurant for almost 6 years, always on our way to Starbucks which is next door. The smells have always been amazing and we kept telling ourselves that one day soon, we’ll check them out. He’s from Houston born and raised, so takes his BBQ very seriously. He’s found 1 spot in Seattle that has authentic BBQ (if you know Jake’s, then you know) and has been wanting to try this place since it’s in our backyard.
Fast forward to yesterday. We were debating on what to eat for dinner and I mentioned a place across the street from Moose Creek… but then decided as I was almost there that I didn’t want it after all. Finally, for whatever reason, it clicked that Moose Creek was across the way and we had yet to try it. So I finally stopped in and so glad that I did.
Service was amazing. Questions were answered. Food came out fast and even though I was 20 mins from home, the sandwiches we bought held up wonderfully. I didn’t know I liked ranch beans until I tried them. Wow! And the potato salad…. Drooooool worthy!! Big chunks of egg… just super yummy. We had a brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. The meat was so flavorful and the BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet.
My hubs said it was top notch… but to be fair, he didn’t know if that’s because it’s been so long since he’s had BBQ or if it truly was THAT good. We will definitely go again, that’s for sure. And maybe I’ll edit this review to include thoughts on trip 2 and if it’s truly worthy of a Texan. But in the meantime, we’ll be kicking ourselves for not popping in sooner!
OH MY GOSH, MOOSE CREEK HAS GREAT BARBECUE!!! This place is located in the smokey point-Arlington area. The second you walk in, you are overwhelmed by the delectable aroma of finely crafted barbecue meats issuing forth from the large smoker rotisserie-like ovens. Moose Creek Barbecue is a small quirky place decorated with history of the area and, of course, a giant moose head with a big rack mounted on a back wall by the bathrooms. The menu is written in chalk on a huge chalkboard over the front counter. You can choose between pulled pork, chicken, brisket, ribs, or sausage. They have sides like cole slaw, potato salad, beans, etc. The best side in my opinion are the ranch beans with a good blend of beans, meat and spices. But the good times don’t stop there; they also have tasty sauces with the main sauce having a sweet darkish flavor and smell. They have a couple of other sauces like their hot bbq sauce that has a nice heat that builds. If you’re in the area, you need to stop buy for dine in or take-out. They sell each day until they run out of meats, which does happen. The counter staff and kitchen guys are very friendly and don’t mind questions about anything they make and serve. And it’s always fun to watch the meats revolving around the smoker when the tender opens the smoker doors to remove meat to a waiting cart with smoke and aroma billowing outward. Say hi to the moose for me!
Always good, order early.
Absolutely love this place while visiting Seattle wanted to go again but It closed 😭
Our family loves Moose Creek. Closest thing to the south Texas BBQ that I love and miss. Delicious sauces as well. Yummy sandwiches (pulled pork, brisket, chicken) with mouth watering buttered bread. Must get cornbread as well. Iced tea is SO GOOD and servers are kind and attentive about refilling your tea! Prices are still affordable and space is welcoming.
Food is not bad for around here. But pricing is off the chart. Full rack of ribs and a full order of brisket was $ 80.00 no sides or drinks. Meat had alot of fat on it.
Better than a lot of the BBQ I had when i lived in Texas.
As a guy who travels alot I’ve had alot of BBQ and this is some of if not the best I’ve had. Big portions, delicious food, wonderful staff and atmosphere. The brisket was AMAZING. ILL DEFINITELY come back.
This was our second time at Moose Creek and they, yet again, DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We’re originally from the south and this is officially our FAVORITE place to dine. It has an authentic southern atmosphere with great tasting food! We’ve yet to have a bad experience. We will DEFINITELY be back!!
Great BBQ and super friendly staff.
I love their sweet ice tea and brisket, my kids love their ribs I do too but their brisket is my go to. I purchased their family pack for 8 and a briskey sandwich for myself. The family pack was a good amount of food for my family.
One of my favorite BBQ places to dine. Visit this location each time I’m in the area.
Mmm mmmm mmmmm
Ordered the meal for 4. Tasty food. The coleslaw was amazing. And corn bread that isn’t dry at all.
The brisket is to die for! The chicken makes a great addition for chicken salad for the week. Don’t miss this place!
I placed an online order for a 6:30 pickup. I ended up having a later appointment and I couldn’t get there until 7:10. Even though they closed at 7, they stayed open so I can grab my order. I got my food home and even though it sat for quite a while, it was still warm and quite delicious. I highly recommend the BBQ sundae. It has mashed potatoes, beans, coleslaw, and your choice of meat. It was so good and very filling.
Quality food!
Excellent customer service!
Clean environment!
The worse bbq place i have tried in my whole life. The sausage tasted like the free sausage that I get at my hotel. The beans where not cooked all the way. The mac and cheese, actually shells pasta with mayo tasted disgusting. The chiken was dry. The brisket was nothing but fat. The bread was burned and hard.. I came because of a review thats said it was the best bbq around, I don’t know if who ever posted that said that because there isn’t anything else around.. Definitely wont be coming back here. But I can point ppl in the rigth direction. Keep on driving for an hour straight into oak harbor. The bbq joint. I ate there last week absolutely worth the hour drive. If I could get my refund that would be great.
Good food, vibes and service
Great food and good service for a fair price.
Finally a barbecue that tastes like it was smoked and properly spiced. Not hot spices just great.
This place is fantastic. Everything is delicious. The only thing better is the staff. They go out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. The Friday prime rib special is worth driving hours for. Save me some.
Great bbq spot. Food was tasty, fresh, flavorful.weve had a brisket which was had a nice bark, good bite, still soft and juicy, ribs are really great also, sides 5+, especially corn bread. And finally staff is super nice and friendly, this location is worth a quick detour if you’re driving up WA state. We will return!
Best bbq!!
