6. Great bakery and friendly staff. I will only give them one star because I never know when they will be open. I drive 35 miles two times to Dayton because their website states they are open when they are not. Won’t make that mistake again.

9. The Moose Club was amazing! This sandwich was huge and made with home made bread. I was really impressed with the bread. Very flavorful and not too dense. Give it a try if you’re driving through Dayton; you won’t be sorry.

11. Absolutely fantastic food and service! So many wonderful keepsakes and items to puchase, as well! The baked goods are beautifully prepared and delicious, and the lunch food is divine and in great portions.

17. Baked goods look amazing. Burnt eggs. Standing on food prep counter barefoot shocked me. When I left you could still see the dirty footprints on the stainless steel.

20. Good place for food, they have a bakery here also. Good selection of pastries and pies. If your close by stop in. It has its own charm especially the staff.

22. This place is a must stop shop for your bakery wants and needs. This business is so much more than a bakery, but that is all we purchased while we were there. There is also a restaurant, and they sell a potpourri of gift items as well.

    The bakery goods were amazing, and trust me, you will have trouble deciding among all of the choices. But, whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed.

    The staff are incredibly warm and friendly. You will quickly feel like a part of the community.

    Wishing I lived here so we could take full advantage of this place.

23. Amazing coffee cake and lemon loaf. I didn’t get a chance to eat it until the next day, and it was still super moist and fresh tasting.

29. When my grandchildren are in town the first place they want to go is to moose. They love it there. The doughnuts are the best.

30. I can’t say I’ve ever had a true experience here with the current owners because any time I’ve gone they are closed.
    The hours reflected on Google are NOT accurate. Apparently their winter hours are 10-3 but I can see a group of people inside sitting at a table having coffee together when I stopped by today at 9am (doors locked).
    Every time I visit town I look forward to getting bakery items but this “business” is never open at predictable times. Incredibly disappointing as I used to love coming here to get donuts and coffee when the previous owners were running it.

The big problem of this place for me is scheduling; it isn’t open half the week, and when it is open it’s at rather inconvenient times (opens too late to get breakfast, but not open frequently enough to get lunch throughout the week) For whatever reason, they have closed their main lobby door and now require you to go through the gate at the awning. Why this is how it is now I haven’t a clue. Also noticed they haven’t changed the hours shown within the cafe from winter, but that’s negligable. Other than that, staff is satisfactory and donuts are pretty good. The one complaint I have about the donuts is that compared to a few years back they are much less in variety and more expensive (not just adjusted for recent inflation either)

34. Delicious apple fritters. The cinnamon roll was average, it needed more cinnamon & the peanut butter cookie was just ok

41. What a great place.
    Gifts, lots to look at.
    The food portions huge!
    But…I was put off by a glance from one girl to another girl when I asked for 2 containers to put our sandwiches in that we couldn’t finish.
    You would have thought I asked for something of value. But those 2 nice plastic 5″ Sq containers cost them +/-$100
    Instead of purchasing multiple ideas I thought were too cute, I didn’t. We up sandwiches in containers and just left.

42. We had the club and a cup of soup and it was wonderful. If you are not to hungry, I would suggest half sandwich and cup of soup.
