Good dinner, had fish tacos and Clam chowder along with Annie’s Amber beer. Server was friendly and attentive.
Wanted to start supporting local restaurants, so tried this place out with some friends. It’s very small and half of it is taken up by the bar, but it was very nice and cozy inside. We went when they were playing music, which was nice but being a small venue it does get hard to hear when they were playing. The waitress was very nice and attentive, made sure our drinks were full and answered our questions very politely. The food came quick, and was good! I had the personal pepperoni pizza. It’s a very generous size, and was very cheesy and savory. My only complaint is that it was on the greasy side, but not enough to ruin the meal. This is a charming local spot that’s right in the heart of downtown. Would recommend for a small, local, and casual dinner with friends!
First time visitors. Excellent pizza! Will be back!
I have been to this place a few times and it’s always been really good food. This time was not so great. I got the burger and it was so greasy, the entire plate was wet and red. You would think the fries would be soft because of this, but they were burnt and inedible. They were too busy for me to try to get more fries and by the time the waitress came back I just wanted the check. My husband got a peach drink that he said taste 100% like ginger and couldn’t even drink it. I got the peach ginger cider which was the worst cider I’ve ever had in my life and again taste like 100% ginger. The drinks were not cheap either so we wasted a bunch of money. The kids meals weren’t the best deal and just a simple chocolate milk is $4 for your child. Needless to say, we spent over $100 and did not enjoy it anything about it. Will not be going back next time I go to Anacortes!
Most things looked pretty good, but the pork schnitzel was tough. Won’t have that again, wife had the burger, it was average. Stick to the fish maybe?
Went for lunch and noticed right off the bat that their prices have gone WAY up. Not only that, but our waitress was somewhat rude in that she seemed very cold and never asked if we had any questions, only asked once how we were doing and gave us the check without saying thanks for stopping by. $50 for two people drinking only water? Nope.
Food is always good and they have a good variety. My favorite is the salmon sandwich with pickled ginger.
Service was good but the food was not great. If you are going to advertise the heck out of your pizza it shouldn’t come on a freezer crust in my opinion.
I had the fish tacos and they were delicious! For dessert I had the brownie cheesecake. It was a huge portion and very delicious also. I believe Heather was my waitstaff. She was gracious, attentive and answered all my questions. Despite the restaurant being busy, I did not feel neglected. I would give the restaurant 10 stars if I could. I will be returning.
Watch out for the yummy beer. I only had 1, but left feeling good.
Great wait staff. Enjoyed the live music while enjoying the best food of our week long trip to Anacortes. We went back a second time. Flatbread pizza was awesome. Felt welcome and received quick service.
Best fish tacos, great crab mac, Fantastic oyster shooters and really great selection of beer. Fun atmosphere
While their beer isn’t very highly rated on Untappd (3.58 avg), that doesn’t take away from the uniqueness of this establishment. It’s quite the rustic vibe, with a great variety of different brews available on tap (including nitro pours!), and the staff couldn’t be any friendlier. Check it out for yourself. It’s quite possibly the northernmost brewery you’ll ever visit.
After hiking in the hills south of town, this is a great spot to have seafood, burger or salad and one of their great beers. And the staff made all 8 of feel like long lost friends, home from wandering.
Waitress were busy talking among themselves so I waited longer than nessessary. The beer was tasty, but the food was waaay overcooked and definitely not fresh. Also very over priced for what it was. I do not reccomend!
Here on a whim. At the Rockfish Grill, had the Rockfish cosmopolitan and rockfish florentine. We also ordered the saffron mussels. Food, service was all good. Thank you for a great lunch.
Fish not too tasty, Coleslaw old. Service was good. Very expensive.
Delicious! We stopped for dinner in Annacortes after coming back to the mainland on the ferry, and every dish was quite tasty. Salads, salmon burger, fish tacos, battered prawns, beer, and cocktails! Would recommend them all, and would definitely come back again.
This place was absolutely delicious. Has excellent seafood, great pub food options, and a fantastic craft beer selection. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and season very well. It came with a buttered pilaf rice and garlic smothered broccoli. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Great customer service. Fantastic selection of beers, ciders and spirits. Menu has a lot of options and all are delicious.
Good staff. Good menu of classic goodies: burgers, pizza, salads, and fish.
One of my favorite places to eat in Anacortes. Their coconut prawns are delicious and I love their dipping sauce. I never thought I’d order a Crab Mac and Cheese because I thought it would be too heavy but it wasn’t! It was delicious and just right. They use ricotta as one of their cheeses in it so that is probably what keeps it from being too rich. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and so far, they’ve always had a sour ale on tap. That is a big plus for those that enjoy sour ales.
This spot is excellent after going on one of the nearby whale-watching boat tours. I came back frozen and wanted something to warm up and this place had a fantastic rock fish florentine.
The mild, yet flavorful dish, brought back a positive childhood memory. The service was great and pretty quick too. They have some unique Cocktails if you aren’t into beer (like myself) although they ran out of ingredients for the one I was curious about, so I went with one of their more popular drinks.
All in all, this is a great spot, albeit expensive, even for one person. If you’re here for an experience, go for it.
Great beers and food to match. Fish is especially good! Comfortable inside and outside dinning.
The food was really good I had the burger and waffle fries and with a porter beer, really good and reecoommed them to anyone
The crab Mac& Cheese was terrible.
I literally had to choke it down, totally sucked.
The calamari very small pieces.
The waitress was outstanding.
Did a great job serving us.
On her A-Game
This place has perfected the waffle fry.
Everyone’s food was fantastic, but the fries were out of this world. This feels like such a dumb thing to review but they were that good.
Best dining experience I have had in several years! Went there during a busy street festival and the service was still fast and friendly. Cold beer,a full bar and skilled bartenders. The food was incredible ! Not your every day bar food. The salmon sandwich was delicious. So nice to see something local and fresh on the menu. We will be back again and again for sure.
A good option in downtown Anacortes. I always get the burger, it’s solid… and love the standard waffle fries. Outdoor seating is available. Plenty of free street parking available.
The very best fish and chips! Absolutely thrilled.
My husband and I went to Rockfish last night for dinner. We arrived at 8:15pm, 45 minutes before they closed. The hostess, who looked exhausted, barely greeted us and just kind of looked at me blankly when I asked for a table. She looked around and finally said, “Well, we do close at 9pm so you’ll have to place your order quickly.” I told her we know they close at 9 and that’s why we arrived 45 minutes prior to closing. She wiped off a table and sat us down.
When our waitress came to the table she was super friendly and warm as opposed to the deadpan hostess. I told her our experience with the hostess and she immediately apologized and said it’s been an ongoing issue. Everything else from that moment on was awesome!
We ordered the salmon sandwich and the reuben, both of which were great! And we also got the coconut prawns for an appetizer. Fantastic! This would have been a 5-star experience but knocking off 1 star because of the hostess.
Bar was too slow and my steak was under cooked. I went to look at bar seems like the bar tender is too busy with talking to a colleague. When shared with the server seems like he defend the bar tender not the guest. They should improve the service.
Bland food and bad service. And expensive for the quality. Our waiter never checked on us at our table once during our entire meal, we were never offered refills on drinks or had our plates cleared. We felt ignored as everyone around us was getting great service. I do not recommend this place at all. I’m surprised it has such good reviews. This was our first time going and we will never be back. Would give 0 stars if I could
Good service and friendly staff but the food left some to be desired. The Thai chicken pizza was just kinda bland and not as exciting as the description read
Came in for an early dinner on a holiday weekend. Noticed as we walked in there is outdoor seating along the main street. Once inside we were offered indoor or outdoor seating. We had been outside all day and it was a bit breezy so we opted for inside. I would describe the menu as fancied up bar food. I had the Saffron Penn Cover mussels with a side salad and they were both delicious! Fresh mixed greens and sweet cherry tomatoes with cucumber slices and shredded carrots with a chunky Bleu cheese dressing. My friend had the fish tacos which came with a delicious aoili and green salsa.
We got the sample flight for 10 bucks which was great to learned about the taste and stuff, unfortunately we didn’t had dinner or snack, but the pretzel w cheese caught our attention 🤤 def will come back
Great family restaurant with enough bar atmosphere to keep it interesting. Great local brewery with some very good beers.
It was fantastic. Best shroom burger
I’ve had in some time. The waitress
Was very sweet and attentive. 5 stars !
Loved everything I ordered really loved the Mac and cheese and the pretzels with beer cheese dip. The atmosphere was nice and servers were really friendly, as I’m from Texas the etouffee was delicious and I just wish I could come back!
They have a big menu! There is a brewery and they offer flights with 8 samples. Our group ordered a calzone, a pizza, a burger, soup, and waffle fries. Overall, it is pretty good food and the staff was very nice. They are all wearing masks as required.
Ghost pepper fish bites! Awesome heat but delicious. Fantastic beers to boot!
We tried the ghost pepper fish bites which were absolutely delicious. Not as spicy as I expected being ghost pepper, but very good. I had the nachos and my husband had the fish and chips. Everything came out quickly and tasted great. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and kept my drink refilled.
Fun staff, great beer, amazing jalapeno infused tequila.
Pizza crust is between a Neapolitan/New York thin crust, and a deep dish Chicago style. Toppings are good. I didn’t pick up any notes of wood smoke. Great local beer selection. Also tried the ghost pepper tacos which were good. Service was generous and prompt. The men’s bathroom was a little on the unsanitary side. My only complaint would be the warring music between the dining area and the open kitchen.
The beer I ordered was sub par, salmon was smothered in a sauce. Sub par food and beer. Service was okay
Servers are awesome. Fish for fish and chips was over done and I found hair in them
The beer on tap is fresh and delicious. Fish and chips were also good.
The Food was Great and the Beer was Good.
Fish Tacos and Key lime cheesecake
The food was good, though there was room for improvement. I had gotten the rockfish florentine, and the sauce was really good though it seemed like a bit much because I couldn’t even taste the fish. But other than this it was good and the employees were nice
Was delivered ghted with the cuisine at Rockfish. Their veggies were a both woody. The dessert made up for it! My companion seconds all of that!
Reliably great fish n chips – none better!! The batter is very thin, crunchy, and tasty.
Solid good food, great service. I had the salmon sandwich and it was delicious. They have a gluten free bun too!
Delicious Greek and Shrimp salad. Great service
