Had a nice date night with my husband with great drinks, food and a nice view of the Christmas Boat Parade! We were on the lower patio outside but dressed warm and the propane heaters and firepit helped keep us warm. Always a great time and Tiffany the owner is always the best !!💚❤️
I went here with a large party. I felt a little bad for our one waitress, but she did as best as she could! Overall, a little disappointed with my good though.
Best blue cheese burger ever!!!
Excellent food. Best shrimp bisque I’ve ever had. Cold beer, too!
The food is some of the best we have had in the area! The waitress’ are so friendly and attentive. The view is very nice. I really enjoyed the layout of the restaurant- it can be busy without feeling busy at all with how it is separated. We will be back! Great experience.
Soooo tucked away, YET on the Water view !! Please try it just for that,… and the Menu is quite a variety of choices ! Simple and elegant. Cozy comfy booths.
Sat in the bar upstairs. Food, Service and view were great!
Really nice view and the dessert Tirrasumui was delicious
From out of town, but went for Valentine’s Day. Very relaxing setting. And I am the original skinflint, but our entire dinner for two was very reasonable. The owner, Tiffany stopped to chat and told us all about the building’s past and plans.
Noisy but food was great
Really amazing seafood! Not to mention a great view.
Our first time at this slightly off the main drag restaurant (near the Anacortes boat yards). We will be back.
The restaurant has a nautical theme and lives up to this with well cooked and very fresh seafood as a specialty.
The clam chowder was meaty and creamy (and not cloyingly goopy like some), and my tempura-battered halibut and chips were crunchy and fluffy – a good portion, perfectly cooked and very fresh.
Friendly service, a very relaxing view of the bay (we watched a sea otter chilling as we ate), and great food. Recommended!
Good food, beautiful views, nice service. The chefs were able to accommodate my dietary needs (celiac) which is refreshing.
This is definitely a casual, relaxed spot. There is a patio that they open if you have dogs, so you can have the whole family!
Definitely a nice little spot off the beaten path.
Great food, Waterfront, watched two sea otters playing in the water as we dined!
Very good clams and mussels! Definitely need to try the apple pie!
Great service, good food and a casual atmosphere. The oysters were excellent and I enjoyed their Ceasar Salad dressing ( just a tiny bit spicy – the way I like it!)
Great spot for a family meal or happy hour upstairs. Clean and comfortable. Good menu with local seafood and options for all. Also cool location away from the restaurant row downtown.
Fantastic customer service, exquisite food and bartender extraordinaire, Adrian was delightful!
Great seafood and staff!
Great food and outstanding customer service!
A great spot on the water with awesome food and staff.
Not fancy, but bamboo delicious! Seafood was good and dessert was yummy!
Wonderful view of the channel. Macadamia crusted salmon was very good needs a bit more spice, but it is a huge portion. Vegetables were cooked to perfection. Large portions of fish and chips that were fried but not greasy, well prepared.
Wow, a real gem. Everything was superb.
Some of the best mussels I’ve ever had. Great selection of local craft beer. The fish and chips were just okay. Staff was really overworked on the Friday evening we were there but trying very hard and sporting a great, friendly attitude. Outside decks are really blown around by the wind off the bay and there aren’t any heaters, so be advised …
We enjoyed our experience. Reasonably priced (especially considering location!) And good service. Happy hour apps were just OK, clams and crab cakes were incredible. Chowder had almost too much bacon, but still delicious 😋
Very nice staff but too expensive for the food that isn’t that great…
Our favorite place to sip and munch on the best fish and chips. The view across the channel towards Guemes Island, eagles, seals, otters, water birds… this time, after delicious fish and chips, we did a paint and sip! More fun!! Thanks Secret Cove!
One of the BEST! Great menu choices
and the servers/staff were all amazing.
Will be returning for sure
Found this secret gem while waiting for our whale tour. Sat by the window where we watched seals play in the water while enjoying a cocktail and happy hour shrimp cocktail and oysters. We wished that we had more time there, but we will be back to try something from a great looking menu of options.
Upstairs bar served a wonderful lunch with a. Beautiful view.
I thought the location would mean good fresh seafood. Prawns were from frozen, crab wasn’t fresh. So disappointed- this place really could be awesome. Just no love
Nice place, great view and great food! The team of folks working made us feel welcome and along with our hosts, made it a fantastic dining experience.
The food is pretty good and the service is excellent. Beautiful view but we were at a table inside and the noise around was a bit too high.
Our server was very friendly and sweet and the location was beautiful.
The food was awful. The baked brie and garlic was a puddle of oil. The shrimp sandwhich had the tiniest shrimp, zero seasoning, and not very many on it and was $19. They use sharp cheddar cheese on the kid’s grilled cheese which was not specified and not a favorite of any child I know. And his only other option was to switch to pepperjack.
My husband did enjoy his fish and chips. But otherwise this place was a huge disappointment.
We have dinner at the Secret Cove almost weekly. The food is great and fairly priced, the staff is friendly, and the water view is fantastic.
We were so excited to find this little gem – great food, good drinks, friendly service and amazing views!
Been coming here for years, best happy hour in town with drink specials and happy hour food menu. I love their Shrimp Caeser salad, a screaming deal at 12 bucks, you can’t get a burger that cheap in town! Great view, great staff, mostly locals here as it is a bit out of the way compared to commercial where there are several restaurants within walking distance but is really only 3 blocks away.
Used to like going there.
The last several times the food was way to greasy.
Maybe time for a new cook.
And change oil in deep frier
There waitresses are very nice.
Made reservation using Google Maps, arrived early to start with a cocktail at the upstairs wooden round bar, and enjoy the beautiful view of the water and docks. Dinner for 4, excellent fresh seafood appetizers (oysters, and more!) and main course was tender and flavorful. Great fresh desserts, do try the key lime pie and the house specialty apple pastry! Our new favorite place.
Beautiful view,great bar tender
awesome happy hour specials
Super salty clams/muscle. Great seafood platter.
Loved this place! Off the beaten path. We ate on the second floor overlooking the bay. The halibut fish and chips were fantastic and our server was very attentive to our needs as needed.
Absolutely the best kept secret in Anacortes! Great food, service and atmosphere.
I’m not one to leave a bad review especially for a small/local business but I feel like management needs to know about our experience.
My husband and I came in for dinner tonight and were seated promptly and brought waters and menus. All the food looked amazing and the building is awesome with a great view. We proceeded to sit there for almost 40 minutes and were never again acknowledged. We ended up leaving as we were running low on time and still needed to find food so we got up and left. We went down the road to Rockfish Grill. While we sitting there drinking our wine and eating our (amazing) coconut prawns, another family came in who had also been waiting at Secret Cove and had also given up after not getting any service at all. We were very disappointed as we were excited to try this place. Next time we are in town we will try again and I hope the issue is resolved by then.
Delicious seafood pasta, crab cakes, and excellent view! The staff is always lovely even when it’s miserably hot.
Shmackin clam chowder, they really hook it up on the fries, ultra crispy goodness! Went there two times in 4 days definitely will be back next time we’re in the area. Staff friendly and got us everything we needed!
Aaaaaaa-mazing! The food was absolutely delicious, service was top notch and location is beautiful. One of our new favorite local places by far!
Really good food and fantastic staff!!
Definitely make time to go here.
Incredible view, incredible service and incredible food. This is my 5th time back now and have never been disappointed.
Delicious food with an obvious specialty in seafood dishes. Prices are fair, food is fresh and flavorful, service was prompt and very friendly.
The service is good, the food is delicious! Try the chowder! Patios are dog friendly!
This place is top notch. We went up to Cap Sante and then decided to eat at Secret Cove. They have incredible food. I got the halibut and it was perfect. Fresh selection of seafood and gorgeous views. Menu has something for everyone. Great service and decent prices too. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting or go make a day trip over to Anacortes and eat here. I’m a Bellingham native who moved away last year to NC, and it’s been nice visiting here the past week. This place was one of the places we wanted to eat at while were were here.
Our waitress memorized our large order (6 people) and got it perfect even with the customizations. The food overall was great but I was really not impressed with the $18 grilled oysters. We will definitely be back but will go with shooters next time.
I’ve been there twice and let me tell you service is fantastic food is amazing and go and try it you won’t regret it my husband and I celebrate our 19th anniversary
Service was good and the food for the rest of my party was good. I ordered the crab sandwich and it was more cheese than crab with no flavor to it. If we’re up in the area I wouldn’t mind trying them again.
Food and service were excellent. Market pricing is a little high, but we will definitely return for the food!
Very heavy on garlic. Great views. Excellent service. Food was so-so.
Decent place. Food was pretty good. The views were awesome. Service was fine as well. Place was somewhat busy on a thursday night
I had the seafood fettuccine, my wife had wild salmon. It has been some time since I had a meal this delicious. Bon appetit!
Food was great. I ordered coconut prawns w/ garlic mash. The salad for the entree was huge and basically a meal itself! My boyfriend LOVED the seafood Alfredo. We could definitely tell that all the food was fresh and made with quality ingredients. My only issue was the cleanliness…. Pepper grinders sitting on window ledges….other random places is just not sanitary. Gnats and flys inside….tables weren’t cleaned properly. I could tell the place needs a fresh deep cleaning. I would return if the cleanliness was better but it was hard enough stomaching it the first time. Luckily the food was amazing. (:
Despite some negative reviews, we decided on Secret Cove over Anthony’s for our 6 year anniversary. We sat upstairs for happy hour and everything was amazing. Waitress attentive and friendly, BEST calamari we’ve ever had (strips)! Delicious penn cove muscles with a ton of saffron! Fresh fresh spinach salad! Will be back next time we are in Anacortes!
Excellent cod, prawns (large shimp) & calamari! The sauces are fantastic, especially the cilantro lime aioli, house made tarter sauce and the orange marmalade sauce. 👍 👍
Beautiful views and great Happy Hour Specials.
Happy hour menu was great. Sat outside in the nice weather. Service was quick and great. Food was excellent.
Such a great little place on the water with two levels of patios overlooking the water. Lower patio is dog friendly. Delicious food and drinks and friendly service. Will definitely be back when in town again.
Wonderful waterfront restaurant in Anacortes! Good food, drinks and staff. Highly recommend!
This is a lovely bar/ diner restaurant style spot by the water. The staff was short but they did their best to take care of everyone well! Great happy hour menu! Decent food, go with the fried seafood! Nice views outside on the deck.
Wow to how much prices have jumped.the food is good but soon it won’t be as good as their asking price.great view decent service.
Walked into this little restaurant and Annacortes and looked at the menu and walked right back out absolutely over price for what you get
Seafood restaurant with a nice view and outdoor seating. Baked brie was delicious.
Unfortunately, everything about our experience was a complete disappointment. We were a party of 10 with high expectations; and were looking forward to trying it, due to good recommendations…… and that was the worst spent $500. The food, service and mixed drinks were all equally bad. Unfortunately, this is not a place we wi be coming back to.
This place is getting better! It is such a great location, the biggest hurdle it has is poor history and reputation. It seems that they are moving in the right direction though, my last visit was really good. There is room for improvement in decor/cleanliness and food preparation, but 4 out of 5 is a big improvement over where I would have rated them a few years ago. Keep it up Secret Cove!
