Pool, food, and beer
Never knew this kind of place existed until tonight. A pool hall with super good food!!
Great service! The waitresses we’re quick and so friendly!! I felt welcomed there and there’s so many games to play! Very fun night ☺️
Delicious menu! Staff aren’t super attentive but they’re busy so it’s fine. The PB&J Burger… I’m still dreaming about it!
Huge bar, With twenty or so pool tables. Lots of different alcohols to choose from.
Nice place to have a beer and play pool
The reason for the one star
They should teach that male server how to respect people who go there. This guy has a bad attitude
place has amazing food and a great poolhall
Expensive but great workers they charge to use your card look at your bill first and then look at the main reciept after they run your card
This was my first time going and it was amazing! There are so many pool tables I doubt there is ever a wait to play. The drinks were good and they have great food options. Thursday’s they have a double shot special.
Katie is awesome. I’ve never seen a hostess tend to every customer and table in record time and keep the morale of everyone satisfied. Truly amazing hire choice…. Customer service personified 💯👌🔥🔥🔥
Great selection of beers on tap…. Appetizers are great! And there is tons of pool tables
Wonderful staff. Needs more pool tables and the karaoke was very screechy from the speakers. Great drinks and homey rustic feel!
Very nice And Friendly and clean.
The Black Diamond USED TO have the best nachos around. Spent $17 for some chips and jalapeños. Very disappointed not worth the money.
Great place to play a few games of pool. Shuffleboard grab a bite to eat and fellowship.
Great relaxing low light steak house with great happy hour and warm service. Thank you Debbie and Amanda for making our happy hour stellar!
Went for lunch a couple Tuesdays ago, not busy. Food and portions were great! Beer tap selection was robust. Waitress was very friendly but missed a couple things on our order.
Nice staff, chill environment, plenty of pool tables. Would definitely recommend.
The staff is nice the patrons are kool, the music is nice, the drinks are just ok, food isn’t great
We were there at 9pm on a Wednesday night. Played pool for two hours and only managed to get service once. Nothing could be done at the counter because the waiter held on to the card. Food order wasn’t put in until standing in line to cash out and they still wanted to charge for it after 45 minutes when we were ready to close the tab and brought them to the bar last minute. It took several minutes and arguing of the bill for both staff to locate the card and close out.
Folks I’ve shot pool for 40 years all around the country, in leagues and tournaments, fortunate enough to play around a couple pros in philadelphia and Atlantic City. Each city I find the best place to practice. This place is it. Great tables, great food ,and great service is what you get at this place . Good crowd . Always appears to be good people just having a fun time. Highly recommend.
Beers a bit more spendy than other places. But good spot for a pool haul. Place can get busy n that’s not my cup of tea. But all and all a good hanging spot. Haven’t tried their food usually just stop in for a beer.
Went here for the first time and it was great! We got to have a pool table all to ourselves, (just like renting out a bowling lane) for $8 an hour. We had some of their delicious food. Overall a good place to go when you need a break or want to just hang out.
Had my birthday party there on Saturday night and all I can say is Megan was the tip top best person to serve me while I was there. Frequent customer there but whenever I get Megan, I know hands down I’m going to be taken care of with the upmost respect. Hopefully you hire more people like her. We had a crowd of 20+ and she knocked it out of the ball park and made everyone’s night, I’m sure of it. Thanks again for making my birthday a great one and stress free!
Went here for first time today for lunch. Bree (sp?) waited on me. She was very pleasant and attentive to my needs. She even sat down in the booth across from me and answered all my questions about the food and about the rates for playing pool. The food was very good. I will definitely be going here again.
So hard to find a pool table now a days not at this place! Plenty of tables, the food and the drinks are amazing. Omg their chicken nachos are to die for. The wait staff is super friendly and helpful. Always a good time
This place has AMAZING food. Me and a buddy went here last night and ordered the nachos, smoked mac and cheese, and the black diamond burger. The nachos took awhile to come out, but it wasn’t a crazy wait… and the wait was well worth it! Easily the best nachos I’ve had.
The issue lies with the entrees. My mac and cheese came out just a couple minutes after the nachos and unfortunately got cold before I could get to it. I was too full to eat it anyways, so no big deal. As for the burger though, that came out 25 minutes after my mac and cheese. My buddy didn’t even want it at that point. The waitress was apologetic and waived the cost of the burger and let us send it back to one of the cooks to eat!
All in all, the place has great food! Just don’t go if you are in any rush.
Best billiards hall in Eastern 2 Washington. Never too busy here, even during league play. 20+ tables available with good food at reasonable prices. Good location for the Spokane Valley.
The most important thing you should know. BEST FRENCH DIP AROUND. All the food is top notch quality. And honestly… that’s the most important. Service… was good enough for a busy night… and the server was awesome. Great mixed crowd, family friendly vibe! I have to deduct a star for the birthday plinko situation. It’s only funny to tell someone they win “nothing, you suck” if you are sore about losing your mayoral candidate race after confusing situational popularity with leadership & aptitude. Will be back for sure! ~Karen
First off, the band that was playing was horrible, we should have left at that point.
As usual the staffing was short so it takes awhile to get a drink.
I ordered nachos, who puts bbq sauce on nachos. They where horrible.
The only thing good about the evening was I spent it with my kids.
To top it off, the waitress tried to charge me 55 dollars for 2 beers and horrible nachos.
5 months ago and one year ago it was horrible, the black diamond is consistently horrible…
My Husband and I and my grown son walked and sat down in a booth we waited 20 minutes for someone to wait on us the place was not busy we couldn’t get anyone to wait on us, we even asked for help, to no avail. Sad thing 😞
The food is amazing but expensive.
The waitresses are fun.
There remodel looks nice with the tables.
Did see a male waitress break up a little scuffle while calling the guy a name witch gave him a bad look.
Lots of great eats on the new menu inspired by Chef Larry. I promise this is a spot you’ll want to add to your must visit list ASAP.
Each dish is intentionally crafted using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. The flavors were outstanding and there’s something for everyone- from the vegan cauliflower ceviche to the kangaroo burger. Plus drink specials like Micro Mondays and Whiskey Wednesdays.
We’ll be back soon!
A most excellent pool/local entertainment/fine dining/multi-screen environment for Inland Empire residents and guests. The prices are competitive; the atmosphere is friendly; the recently completed remodel are are all positive attractions.
Service was slow when they tried charging us for drinks we never got
Love the tables here even though the food menu needs CPR. Great vibe but mediocre food.
I have been coming here for years. Decent tables, re-covered every year. Not too expensive. Good menu. Nice people running the place. They have leagues once in a while but the rest of the time you can come in and play some pool on open drop-pocket tables. If you play pool check it out.
Update: prices are $6/hr before 5pm, $10/hr after.
Staff was not the best with their attitude while talking to people which is ironic with the sign they have posted on their door saying “The whole world is short staff please be kind.” Maybe they should have to read that sign themselves. Should also put up a sign saying “No one under 21 past 9PM so people don’t get rudely kicked out after 9 after being there for almost 30 mins for a reason they were in aware of. It would of been a better situation if we were asked kindly but staff assumed our whole group was under 21 so when telling the ones who were, they should stay she said “No there will be NO staying you all have to leave at 9” and then when told not everyone their was under 21 there was no apology given about the attitude and just a rude “oh.” Do better staff we are just people trying to have fun!
Ever since the pandemic hit I have not visited. This establishment really disappointed me with the way that they responded… I also really think that there are better, more fun pool bars in spokane… I miss McQ’s.
Playing pool there last night, put a bunch of juke box music on to have the bartender not like the choice of music and turn it completely off with over an hour before closing, when asked about it she couldn’t care less. Thanks karen.
The perfect place to show up with 20 family members! The menu has something for everyone. The outside dining area is comfy and nicely shaded. The server was great … not overwhelmed by our large party. Recommend and will return …
Went in with my friends, had a great experience!!! The bartender was really helpful and quick to take care of our needs. The mozzy sticks and the french dip sandwich was amazing af!!
I always thought these places had slots or cards. This place has a big pool hall and does have a very wide selection of beer which was nice to have a different beer each round. I’d definitely drink their again.
Bleh. Overpriced. Most of the staff is rude.
Outstanding place to go shoot pool have a good time with your friends eat good food and watch a game or two
We went in to play some pool. The lady behind bar made us great drinks, came around to check on us when we still had most of our drinks. And then started closing. She didn’t mention they were about to close and we didn’t see any hours posted. The fact that she didn’t inform us that they were about to close while we paid for hourly pool tables bother us. As well as the fact that they have one of the jukeboxes you can play songs from your phone but if they don’t like the song they just turn the sound of. So now your out of money you paid for the songs. I was very disappointed in the overall service.
Not enough seating, and the service wasn’t very good!
Tables wher good for pool but service wasn’t great and food wasn’t anything to brag about
One of the best pool halls in Washington state. If you are ever in the Spokane area, it is a must stop. It’s at 9614 Sprague Ave. They have many Diamond tables, and are well maintained. The table we played on had consistent rails/bumpers, clean cloth, and was well lit. They have full bar and grill, with classic good food. I had a burger and onion rings that were excellent. The staff are very friendly. Staff were proactive in asking to help, and checking in to determine satisfaction. Also, if you’re looking for lessons, Damian Pongpanik is the house pro. His has a very strong game, and has competed at top venues both regional and national, as well as on live events such as FNL Productions (Friday Night Lights Productions). Additionally, he is the founder of Jam Up Apparel. The have both leagues and tournaments. The feel is an upscale sports pool hall, and very clean. They have WiFi, large video screen, clean spacious bathrooms, night club with live music, and more. A diverse set of people and players frequent The Black Diamond. The weekends are always lively, and table time prices are very affordable. It is also family friendly. Expect satisfaction, and good memories.
Great service friendly staff.. Cold beer and hot food… Lot’s of pool 🎱 tables.. Come check then out… You’ll enjoy your visit…😊
Do not dress warmly, their ac is broken still according to one of the bar tenders it has been since before summer started. It got very warm while we were there and it was 50 and below outside. Ensure to bring cash or a debit card, some of the games cost a lot of quarters. Atmosphere was good, they packed things in to the point that we were constantly having to check surroundings when playing pool. With that said there was plenty of pool tables, one shuffle board table that I did see, and one darts machine that cost 12 quarters. They had only a few bar tenders who also took food orders. Their system was not great as you have to only see the first person you ordered through as no other wait staff/bartender could access your tab. The food didn’t sit well with my husband nor my stomach. I ordered the fish and chips, you get one piece of fish laid in tartar sauce (which I can’t have) and 6 (if that) tiny “wedge” fries. The fish had some herbs still on the stem thrown on top. I had to order a side of tots because the “meal” was not filling. The tots were way over salted My husband ordered a burger with onion rings. The onion rings were fine I couldn’t even try the burger (dietary restrictions). No photos due to being actively playing pool the majority of the time.
Went for drinks and pool. Love how they have so many pool tables. Shuffle board is fun. Staff is nice. If I had to nit pick I would say a chalkboard eraser would be nice for the chalkboard instead of napkins and better darts for the dart board.
My boyfriend and I came here for our one year anniversary, since our first date was here. A little bit of nostalgia, ya know?
The experience was TERRIBLE!
When we got there, it took almost 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that we were there, even though multiple bartenders looked up at us. No “hey, we’ll be right with you” or anything. They even helped three other customers before us (who came up to the bar AFTER us). Once we were finally helped, the girl was not super friendly. She talked to us in a very condescending tone, and when we picked a pool table said “You won’t be in my area, but I’ll deliver your drinks to your table anyway” and gave us the name of a guy who was apparently the server for our area. Now, keep in mind we ordered ONE pitcher of Blue Moon. That’s it. Guess what? SHE NEVER BROUGHT IT!! After about 20 minutes, I noticed her vacuuming another area of the bar. When I went up to the bar to collect the beer we’d paid for, the other bartender got snippy and said “I’ll be with you when I can”. I said, “actually, the server with the bunny ears was supposed to bring it by 20 minutes ago, so I’d kind of like it now, please”. She then acted like it was a huge inconvenience. I don’t know who the actual server was for our area, because we never were asked by ANYONE if we were okay or needed anything else.
While the tables are nice, they are also paid for by the hour, and it’s fairly expensive when you consider most pool tables in bars are 50 to 75 cents per game..and most people only play two (maybe three) games in an hours time. When we went to pay our tab and get our ID back, we were charged a “prorated” fee of $8 because we went over our hour. But we were standing AT THE BAR, with the pool balls, waiting for someone to actually pay attention for 8 minutes and help us. We actually played for 55 mins (I know that for a fact, because I set a timer so we didn’t go over an hour).
Then, to top it all off….they didn’t give my boyfriend back his debit card when he paid the tab, and after I went up and was like “hey…he gave you a card, we kind of need that back” they had to LOOK FOR IT!!
The whole experience was trash, and we definitely won’t be going back.
Awesome on tap beer selection and a TON of pool tables. Already a repeat customer!
I had no idea such delicious food was hidden inside an unassuming billiard hall. The setup inside is cool yet classy. It was difficult narrowing down what we wanted to eat as everything looked delectable. We decided to try three of their craft burgers (Black Diamond Burger, Turducken Burger and Buffalo Duck Burger). All of the burgers were scrumptious in their own, unique way. Who would have thought to put stuffing on a burger or that you’d find a buffalo/duck burger in Spokane but surprisingly it all worked together in a tastefully appealing way! Even though all of the burgers tasted wonderful, our favorite was The Black Diamond Burger. I’ve been on a personal hunt to find the best craft burger in the Spokane and CDA area. It is definitely a must try burger! The Black Diamond Burger is exquisite in its simplicity. You can taste the difference in all of the food because they use high quality, fresh, local ingredients which make all the difference. Our family loves sauces and even their sauces are made from scratch. I appreciate that this establishment uses local ingredients as much as possible to support local businesses. The spinach artichoke dip croquettes and onion rings are a must try as well. You can tell that thought, passion, creativity, effort and talent are put into each dish on their menu. The service was great as well. We look forward to trying The Black Diamond again when we are in the Spokane Valley.
Been coming here for years and wow, what a difference. This place has really gone downhill. Our server was actually very sweet. But the bar was a hot mess. Ignoring people, not communicating, making one drink at a time… The bartender pretended to take my name for the list for a pool table, but my server said we weren’t in the list and added us. By that time we were just ready to leave. The whole experience was just not fun and the vibes in the whole place were off. On top of that, one of the servers had her child helping her work, clearing beers and food off tables, which I’m pretty sure is illegal.
The place seemed like it was gonna be cool but the bartender was more concerned with being social with regulars than to take our order.
