They make a peppered vodka bloody mary with the just the right amount of spice.
Great food. Very busy and a bit noisy
Very cool about working with us to make sure our dietary needs were not only accommodated but also ensured we had a wonderfully appealing meal.
Delicious food and wonderful service!!!
Excellent food and very personable service.
Went here for brunch! Great food and service… quite busy so reservation definately recommended!
All the staff are so nice here and the food is great too.
Are on the patio, love this place. Food is great. Service a bit slow, but it was mother’s day weekend so to be expected. 👍🏻
Fantastic food, great service, and a super cute place!
it’s a great place , good food and service. I recommend reservations. When you are done with your meal you can look at all the beautiful 💐 and enjoy!
Select menu that has tasty entrees.
The place was clean. The food was good. The server was friendly. DO NOT order a mimosa! It was horrible!
Just stopped in to check things out.
This place is awesome! It’s family-owned, super friendly, great food, great staff, and great ambiance! Recommend sitting outside (when it’s warm) and entire the beauty and outstanding cuisine!
wonderful and homey
I almost wanted to do a bad review out of pure selfishness to keep this place a secret, My wife and I came across this when we were antique shopping and I’m glad we did. Not only is the food amazing put the cocktails for like drinking liquid sunshine. We will definitely be bringing guests here in the future.
Absolutely love this little gem of a place to eat! Food is delicisio!
Service is friendly and attentive. My favorite place to get breakfast and or a sandwich. Never had a bad bite here!
I can’t say enough good things about this place. This isn’t a restaurant. It’s a destination.
Good food and service. Beautiful place to hang out.
Probably won’t go again. Underwhelming.
Went on a Sunday for brunch/lunch. The front desk didn’t have the reservation we made online a few days before. Turns out it’s a known problem that online reservations “sometimes don’t show up on their system.” No worries though, they weren’t too busy and we were seated about 15 minutes later.
I have some food sensitivities so I like to check out menus beforehand and do a bit of research to make sure I can eat what’s offered. I picked a salmon salad from the menu online and packed some of my own dressing only to find out that salad is. I longer on the lunch menu. Had to order a side of bacon, side of fruit, and side of avocado.
And they don’t have coffee drinks, just drip or cold brew – kind of thought they’d have more to offer since they’re a ‘bistro.’
Portions are more than fair and so is the price for what you’re getting.
Fun and lively lunch destination! Friendly staff, tasty sandwiches, salads and soups and a fun atmosphere surrounded by a beautiful nursery. I would highly suggest making a reservation as seating is limited and fills up quickly. Equally, parking can be challenging, so keep that in mind when planning your arrival time.
Tasteful atmosphere, easy to find seating as it was early in the day. The nursery and windmill were charming. The Hugo Spritz was light and refreshing, loved the mint garnish! We had lobster salad that was surprisingly airy and delicious.
A perfect setting for any time of the day. A hidden gem in Sumner.
This place is some of the best food in the area. Great lunch spot! Their Asian pear salad reminds me of a Nordstrom salad. So good!
You will want a reservation. Staff is friendly and quick. The menu is sort of small and they were out of tortellini. The hamburger was amazing! The fries are fair at best. They are battered but sere cooked well. Side salads are generous and good. Prices are a little high. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Soft drinks are overpriced.
Friendly staff – good food
Always great!
We had a Great dinner, the first dinner we have had there.
Highly recommend giving The Bistro a try.
Really love this place for brunch. The food is wonderful, especially the eggs Benedict. Be careful with the cocktails though. Instead of using fresh citrus (lemons/limes), they opt for man-made juices giving the drink a medicinal flavor and ruining it. So disappointing for a farm-to-table high quality restaurant. Other than the sad cocktails, the entrees are delicious and the server we had was truly outstanding and friendly.
Very nice.
Bomb
Very nice
This is the cutest place with the friendliest staff! The food is all made by scratch, and the restaurant is family owned/run.
The crabcake benedict was so decadent and delicious. The potatoes were crispy, and the mimosa was crisp and perfectly balanced. I got the Cranberry, but they also have pineapple and orange. They also have a mimosa flight option if you’re up to it or if you and your friends just want to sample the flavors.
The place is very busy and for good reason! Call and make a reservation, you won’t regret it.
Good food and our server was so friendly!
Very kind and polite service from beginning to end. Melissa our server was great! The was extremely tasty. Definitely a nice spot to come to come back to. It also has a nice nursery rt next door so win win for most.
My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and we were so glad we did! We came 45 minutes before their afternoon closing time, but we still felt welcomed by the staff. I heard one of the head staff members say to one of the servers that they won’t be offering anymore outdoor seatings for the rest of the afternoon because it was getting too hot for the servers. It’s great to know that this business as a whole really care about their employees and their wellbeing as well as their customers! As for the food, I had the crab cake benedict and it was divine. I wish I had more to take home! It came with a warm cinnamon scone which adds a nice sweet touch and perfectly fried potatoes with onions and bell peppers. All very tasty and made fresh! The place has a beautiful, bright summertime atmosphere with a touch of European flair, complete with a nice little bar for cocktails. This is a great place for a date and meeting up with friends and I love it!
First time with horrible service, long waits for our waitress to come over, and she was super frustrated. Needs more staffing and she could care less when I said my carrots weren’t cooked.
I went to the new one and the lady was sweet and very helpful.
Beautiful place and delicious food!
Just all around rude service
Awesome omelette and service! Incredibly friendly and prompt.
Great food and the interior is nice.
Delicious!! I highly recommend the breakfast burrito. The salsa made in house is awesome!
Great food and service
It’s like going to a different place in a different time they have brunches amazing outdoors just a great great venue to have a party or something for their company or just your girlfriend boyfriend whatever it is that you do bring that person down to have an amazing meal and the service is out of this world with some very very pretty and smart young women working there also probably college students getting through the summer and there’s also some other waitresses and waiters that work there that are just top shelf out of this world the food’s great the drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is without words to explain you have to go try it enjoy a morning with some good champagne mimosas and some out of this world food just didn’t have shadow of the Mount Rainier
I was more than thoroughly disappointed ☹️. I was there with my son and my father who was visiting from out of state. This was my birthday dinner. I looked at all the information listed in Google maps and chose here to eat. The only item I wanted was no longer on the menu. The server told us they know the menu pictured is 6 years or more old!! Why has not one employee updated it? I ended up getting the fried cod with some fries. Thankfully, my dad enjoyed his burger and my son enjoyed his lobster salad. As for me, I spent the next 36 hours puking because the fish made me sick. 🤮 🤮. I am more than unsatisfied with my experience at the windmill bistro. I will never be back and I will encourage everyone to stay away. It would behoove this establishment to update pictures so that you have the proper menu listed and serve untainted fish. I was really hoping y’all would live up to the hype. 😞
We had our 31st Anniversary dinner at the Windmill Bistro the meal was very good although a limlted menu, the service (Denise) was excellent would recommend .
Ask for extra hollandaise if you get a benedict. The food though is fantastic, the atmosphere is incredible and the people are second to none 😊
The good: Great food. It is evident they use quality ingredients
The bad: nothing from this visit
Good food. The pork chop with compote was very juicy and full of flavor. The cherry compote (jam if you want) was a great touch of sweet to a perfectly cooked meat.
The Olive Roasted chicken was good and juicy. This was not a full breast but a piece that had both breast and wing or thigh. Bottom line, it was a very flavorful piece of chicken. This came with a purple cauliflower mash, which was the highlight of this dish. I have never liked cauliflower, but this was delicious!
This was my first time at Windmill Bistro. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff were great. I wasn’t as excited for my entree (ravioli). It wasn’t bad, I was just expecting more. Maybe because of the price, or because it felt like a restaurant on the fancier side. My wife loved her flatbread appetizer though (blueberry, grape, and goat cheese). I’d give this spot another try!
Ahhhmazing little gem of a restaurant!!
Tried out this local gem for breakfast today. We enjoyed ambience but the food was over cooked. My husband got the Country Breakfast and I got Chicken Fried Steak. The Home Fries, Scones, and Bacon all over cooked. The Chicken Fried Steak however was tasty and I’d recommend. Denise was our waitress and she made our experience enjoyable!
Great food
This place is one of those hidden gems. Great food, service, and entertainment. If you are in the area I highly recommend it.
He he. I couldn’t even wait until I was done eating before leaving this review.
Amazing food made with love by owner.
Very pleasant outdoor dining, service has always been very good, food is very good as well. I’ve been coming 2-3 times a month since my first visit. Love the flight of Mimosas.
The food was great and the service was of high-quality.
Super cute place in downtown with great food and peaceful ambiance
Saturday night with music. The meal was very well prepared and presented.
We were car shopping in Sumner and our sales rep at the Honda store recommended this place. This was our first time here and we did not have a reservation but we’re offered a table outside. Is was a cool Saturday at noon but the host offered my wife a cozy blanket. Our server was Jake and he greeted us warmly and was very personable. Our service wait time was reasonable and we chatted a bit with Jake about The Windmill Bistro and the restaurant business given that we recently were partners in a gastropub in Oregon. The food was excellent and my wife loved the chicken fried steak with gravy. Do recommend this place and you might want to call ahead for reservations. We hope to see Jake again if we make back to this very cool bistro.
We didn’t realize we needed a reservation.. and they accommodated us anyways, how sweet. waiter Jake was amazing.
My cousin & I decided to have brunch for her birthday, and this is our first time at the Windmill Bistro for the very first time & I can honestly say that we just LOOOOVE the place! Great food and the mimosas are delicious, plus our waiter was awesome. He was always making sure we we’re taken care of.
I also can’t forget about the SCONES!! Those are amazing, and the way they melt in my mouth, I just wanted it all but sadly they ran out haha I will be bringing my little family this coming weekend and of course I made a reservation. Thank you, Windmill Bistro, for the amazing experience.
Had the crab melt with a delicious lavender bee’s knees 💜. Got the sweet potato fries. EVERYTHING was delicious 😋
Beautiful outdoor seating, and rather delicious foods.
Nice vibe great food and drinks. We came for brunch it was a nice atmosphere.
Super cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. When we went it was a sunny but chilly fall day and they even had blankets for us for outside. The outside is covered and has heaters. Definitely a beautiful gem! We will definitely return!
Wow, what a hidden gem in Sumner.
I had seen this place while driving by on my way to WinCo, and always wanted to give it a try, so when my partner flew in from out of state to visit me, I wanted to take him here and eat a meal here for the first time together.
We immensely enjoyed ourselves, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for such an occasion. Even before entering, we enjoyed interacting with a beautiful and friendly black and white cat who seemed to live there.
Our waitress was incredibly welcoming and friendly to us, and was genuinely happy to have us, even if it was already a bit on the busy side.
Our food was wonderful, and the filet mignon my partner ordered was cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the ambience and our time together, and I will absolutely be back here soon to try more of what is offered here.
Go during breakfast!! Went for lunch and it was good but nothing insane. But the breakfast, so good, satiated just what I needed. Very friendly service but a little slow, waited for bill for a bit. Atmosphere was nice and standard.
The server Jacob was awesome! The drinks were good, BUT the appetizers and entrees were just OKAY, lastly the wine was extremely overpriced.
Windmill Bistro wasn’t as special as expected, for all the hype I anticipated being blown away. Not sure I would choose to eat here over some other Sumner options.
This place is super cute! Great atmosphere great grounds. Great drinks! And the staff were very pleasant. Food was real good.
