Great little restaurant to grab brunch.
I didn’t really like how the table for our larger group was right in the middle. It makes it more difficult to hear what others are saying and have conversations.
Our server was friendly and the food was delicious though.

  2. Deven Smith

Nice small little restaurant on the south end of town, great service everytime I come in

  3. Patty A

Their breakfast food is delicious, and their waffles are to die for. Great place for delicious food and great service. I would have added a photo of my delicious croissant egg sandwich, but it looked so good, I forgot to take a photo of it. I will definitely be returning.

  4. Bill Rabe

Bright spot in my visit was Natalie
Great service & personality. Chicken fried steak was burnt & tasted as such. Hash browns very extremely greasy leaving alot of grease on the plate.Toast was way over buttered. Server offered to cook another steak, but I was running short on time. I saw other plates that looked better so the kitchen lacks consistency.

  5. Brittney Z

Food was really good and the service was much better this time. The first two times we went, the server was rude (we received the same guy) this last time our server was very friendly and she was very accommodating. Food has always been good, every time! Will go back.

  6. Jennifer Crutcher

Fantastic food and service! Will be back!

  7. Ben Brown

An amazing breakfast place with a comfortable atmosphere and incredibly good food! Will be going here again.

  8. Melody Milovich

Very friendly and kind staff. Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. Fresh squeezed orange juice and alcoholic drinks available. I highly recommend this place to anyone living in or visiting Cheney. Great for morning dates or relaxed brunch with the family.

  9. Nell Rutzer

Always a great & friendly place to eat.

  10. Serenity Grothen

Amazing benedicts!! I love how I can do half and half so I don’t have to choose! The crab cake bene and salmon bene are absolutely out of this world, I could eat them every day. Usually i take food pictures for my reviews but it was so delicious I completely forgot!

Side note the coffee is awful! But I’m a coffee fanatic. So still 5/5!

  11. Dey V

Best bacon cheeseburger I’ve ever had. I ordered a burger on Thursday morning, added avocado as an extra. I couldn’t have been more happy. The ingredients were fresh and properly separated for my to go order. I will definitely order it again. Thanks!

  12. Gary Heinrich Jr.

Great food and service by this cozy little business.

  13. Ann Lauritsen

    Love the eggs Benedict

  14. Zachary Hastings

Can be a bit pricey depending on what you want for breakfast. Portions are not overly big on the omelets section.

  15. Rose Glitschka

Had breakfast at Bene’s on Easter morning and it was fanatic! LOVED the biscuits and gravy and the waffle was sweet and tasty.

  16. John Laine

Fantastic !!! My business partner and I were in town for a week, working on a project. We ate at Bene’s 5 mornings in a row. It was exceptional. Try the Salmon Benedicts !!! They are spectacular. 🙂

The service was top-shelf!! We had a different server 4 of the 5 days, and all of them were spectacular !! Whoever is running the show over there should be commended for hiring outstanding people !! I wish I lived closer. It’s that good!

  17. John Mangiantini

They just never miss, Breakfast or lunch.

  18. Erica Northam

Lots of different items on the menu. The half and half benedicts give you a chance to explore more of the menu. Everything tasted great. The strawberry preserves were delicious

  19. Bode Perry

    Went for breakfast. Delicious

  20. Dale I

Stopped in to grab a bite and wait for my daughter to finish her class at EWU… what a pleasant surprise! Absolutely awesome breakfast burrito and some mighty fine coffee. I’ll definitely be back!

Very poor cooking skills but with great customer service

  26. Brian Dreis

Always our favorite breakfast place in Cheney

  27. Kala M

I have been here a few times. Today wasn’t so great. We had to let the waitress know we were ready to order 3 times before she remembered to come to our table, the sausage and bacon were burnt to a crisp and we had to ask for a fresh piece for the kiddos. Hasbrowns were overdone, I like mine crunchy but not burnt like today’s. Normally great service and great food today was just off.

  28. Huntere Madison

Delicious breakfast and lots of seating for when it gets busy on the weekends! Love this place!

  29. Torin

Bene’s is named, I assume, for its eggs benedict – and it’s no disappointment. To be honest, I don’t even like eggs benedict and I’ve still been impressed.

Their scrambles are delicious too, and their oranges are freshly squeezed. Can’t complain about the breakfast mimosas either. I’m gluten free and didn’t have any problems.

I’ve seen a lot of restaurants go through Bene’s current location and I can say I hope this one’s here to stay.

  30. conrad march

Service is excellent. Food is very good. A little noisy at peak times. Family friendly.

  31. Greg Purviance

Great place for breakfast especially if you like eggs Benedict

  32. Mary March

    Delightful and delicious!

  33. Michael Burroughs

The different benedict variations are all fantastic and worth trying. The worst part is figuring out which one to get. Best foof in town. Very friendly staff.

  34. JENNIFER Salotti

The crab cake Benedict was delicious and the street taco Benedict was perfection.

Sabrina was friendly and made sure we had everything we could ever want.

I didn’t have the mimosa flight, but the neighbor table had it, and it looked outstanding.

  35. carrie jongeward

Ordered their special of blackberry lemon waffle..Wow so good.. definetly recommend, plus their fireman with jalepenos and kilabasa with egg….yummy.

  36. cailyn rogers

This is a super cute little breakfast place. They have gluten free bread and biscuits! The mimosa flights were super good (blackberry mint, orange, pineapple, huckleberry lemonade). They freshly juice their oranges in a machine and we saw them cleaning it which is a green flag. The have so many different Benedict’s and we were all happy with our meals. I’ve heard it gets really busy during the weekends. There is not a bunch of seating but at 11:00am on Tuesday it wasn’t too busy at all.

  37. Rex Haglund

Food was good. 4 stars. But the server was 5 stars, her name was Bri and she had lots of pep, super nice girl.

  38. Ken “Duck” Geraths

They were really busy, but seated me right away and my food was out quicker than I thought. And it was oh do yummy!

  39. Hannah M

This is the best food I’ve ever had. I ordered a Huckleberry waffle, and it was amazing. I have never finished a waffle until today. I wish I wasn’t just visiting. I would want to come here every day. When I visit again, I’ll definitely come back.

  40. Kathy/Roger Harris

We got 3 different sandwiches for takeout. All delicious. FF okay. Onion rings good. 1/2 cup soup in Styrofoam not so good and luke warm.
    Staff wonderful.

  41. Holly Watson

We stopped at Benes today and we will probably come back. Pros: food came hot and fast. I had the bacon waffle, my husband had the CFS Benedict, and my son had the chicken strip and fries. The waffle was wonderful, the over medium egg I ordered was cooked perfectly, my husband said the sausage gravy was very good, and my son’s chicken strip was bigger than I expected, juicy and fried to perfection.

Cons: the OJ is “fresh squeezed” but they don’t strain it. There are seeds, huge chunks of orange, and fibrous sections. At $6.75 a glass, I wasn’t happy. I ordered some for my three year old, and it’s a choking hazard. Maximum price for minimal effort. I’ve worked in the industry and I’d never serve OJ like that to anyone, not even at my home. Lazy.

The waitress never refilled my coffee despite putting my empty cup obviously at the edge of the table. We ordered OJ for my son and husband but they brought OJ and milk so we had to ask for it again. My husband ordered his Benedict without the poached egg but they brought it out with the egg anyway. She scooped it off and brought a side of gravy to make up for what was stuck to the egg.

We learned they had a rough morning with a bunch of rude and rowdy college students that morning so I know they were having a rough day when it comes to service. They also gave my husband a military discount just because he mentioned his service in conversation.

We think they definitely deserve a second chance and would recommend giving them a try if you’re in town or want to take a short road trip.

  42. Yungtac87

Our food was great our server was great The manager Sabrina was very rude to the server. which was impeccable service I request that Sabrina be talked to about how she talks to her server in front of customers

  43. tjrosenberry

Best breakfast in Cheney. Food is great, plenty of options at a decent price. Can get very busy on the weekends.

  44. Willie Johnson

Was very disappointed. We sat there and watched several tables seated after ours eat and leave. We were told it was a waffle backup, but saw tables that were seated and ordered after ours received their waffles. We decided to leave instead of wait another 30 to 40 minutes waiting on food.

Our waitress was nice, she said her ticket was first, but the kitchen continued to make orders in front of hers. So either they were messing with the waitress or the table with the only black people in the place, but either way, the wait and excuses were beyond ridiculous.

  45. Roger Smith

Semirah and Sabrina made this whole visit fantastic. The food was something you’d get in a top shelf vegas restaurant but the girls made me feel like I was with family. Thank you girls

  46. Rob Foote

    Best breakfast in Cheney!

  47. Paula Zanter-Stout

    Excellent lunch and great service.

  48. Gage Mossman

Cold food, good waitress. Dirty kitchen. Employee came in and got food before us. Kitchen walls and ceiling are gross and scummy. Doesn’t look like they clean.

  49. Laura Louise

Very crowded.. very loud conversations. Hard to hear my guest right next to me.

  50. Ray Pfefferle

Marisity was our server she is a amazing the food is amazing I will come back to this place and support it thank yall

  51. Mark Knopp

Super breakfast place, tasty food, great service.

  52. Ari Meredith

Absolutely obsessed with this place, takes all I have not to go daily. Definitely recommend for a cheap, delicious breakfast

  53. Char Yang

My son I visited EWU and needed some breakfast. Stopped at this place thinking nothing of it. What a blessing it was. OJ was on point. You see them make fresh orange juice from this weird contraption that cut oranges in half and squeezes them. Their chicken fried steak was ok, but their strawberry jam puts every other jam I’ve had in my life to shame. Service people had beautiful smiles along with their diligent service. And my son and I did not feel out of place at all.

  54. Adam Barrios

    Delicious 😋

  55. Griffan Spanner

Drove two hours each way for breakfast for my wife. We fell in love with this spot while I was going to EWU, in the years we’ve been going, we’ve never had a less than fantastic breakfast

  56. K C

Just moved to Cheney and stopped in Bene’s. Food was delicious! We ordered a chicken fried steak, hash browns, toast, and a classic 2 egg, toast, fruit, and links breakfast. Fresh squeezed OJ was awesome, and the service was excellent. We will be regulars

  57. Tina M

    Yummy breakfast and great service!

  58. Éire 1916

Food is great, staff is friendly. Usually a wait in weekends but not too long.

  59. rugby01ful

Best breakfast in Cheney. Get the fresh squeezed oj!

  60. Leon T

Every time I’ve come, things have been fantastic. By far some of my favorite waffles, and I highly recommend the huckleberry ones. The chicken fried steak (not pictured, but what I usually get) is fantastic as well. They do a bunch of different eggs benedicts, and pictured are the classic and veggie. Both were great.

  61. Andrea Talmadge

Popped into this restaurant while visiting family in Cheney. What a pleasant surprise. This place was hopping! We were a party of 5 with a two year old and the staff was so accommodating. Quick service, friendly and the food was amazing. So many Benedict choices, plus other breakfast items. Will visit again next time we are in town.

  62. Jedi Nation

Bene’s was just a great example of a “Great American Diner”, nothing fancy but great food and coffee to get you going in the morning. I will definitely be back.

  63. McKenna Perry

Great little apot for breakfast with excellent customer service. Their waffles are by far the best I have ever had in my life!

My only critique would be the loud worship music. I’m going there for breakfast, not church. Maybe try some non religious light and upbeat music. If this was fixed it would be a 5 start rating for me.

  64. Jared Denney

Best restaurant in Cheney! Eggs benedict menu and mimosa flight

  65. Dale I

Stopped in to grab a bite and wait for my daughter to finish her class at EWU… what a pleasant surprise! Absolutely awesome breakfast burrito and some mighty fine coffee. I’ll definitely be back!

    Update 3/18/24:
Came in with a group of 16 and everyone loved it. The staff was surprised, but handled us all quickly, without issue. Worth a stop!
