I have eaten there three times and each meal was scrumptious!
This was my first time here. My husband drove from Federal Way to get a grinder. I’m thinking that’s a long drive for a grinder. None the less, I accompanied him. I’m glad I did. He ordered his grinder which was amazing. Yes… I took a nibble. I had a pizza and shared a salad. The food was amazing. The staff was even better. All hands on deck. Several servers checking in on us, socializing with us, then the lead chef came out and did the same. Very nice experience. It’s hard to find good employees. Athens has them all!!! Love this place. We’ll be back!

Been going here since high school and let’s just say that is a few years ok. Service and food has always been great, Definitely a small home town vibe that many of us miss.

I’ve gone here since I was a kid. I always get Canadian bacon/pineapple pizza, cold cut grinder and side salad with blue cheese (their blue cheese dressing is excellent). It seems the last year or 2 the food doesn’t taste as great as it used to but it’s still good. Owners are great! Love how the cheese is browned on top of the pizza although if not careful your toppings will all slide off.

If I had to choose what my last meal was on this plant, definitely Athens Hawaiian pizza & the baked spaghetti! Nobody beats Athens pizza in my opinion
I called and made an order, I ordered 4 dinners, it came up to 75 dollars. I walked in and it smelled amazing in there so thought cool its going to be worth whatever im paying(didn’t know the price until i got there). Well 😪 every dish had the same egg noodles in it. The sauce wasn’t very flavourful, for 75 dollars i was hoping for food that had flavor, i wouldn’t have even cared about every dish having egg noodles. I ordered spaghetti, lasagna, manicotti and ravioli…so staff 5 stars, food watch out cuz the price isn’t worth it.

Friendly folks. Food was the worst I have ever e had. I would have been better of putting a Stouffers Lasagna in the oven and saved $50. Best thing was the cheese bread and Sprite. Bland food. Sauce is not good. Garlic bread was rock hard. Came based on reviews. Left with a stomach ache. Will not return.
A local treasure – Athens has been a family favorite since I was little. I have really great memories of my dad picking up a pizza here and bringing it home after work. I was ecstatic when I moved back to the area years later to see this hometown favorite still going strong and was so thrilled to see the same wonderful family running it. Every time I go in the staff is warm, inviting, and delightful. It truly feels like you are being welcomed to their dinner table. Great food. Great service. Great people. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Athens ❤️

It’s been more than 20 years since being there! They brought me back to great memories of their food. Hubby tried is first Giro, while I had the Manacotti! 2 nights worth of heaven. We’ve decided to make Athens our once every 3 month place. Manacotti is rich, fattening and soo good 👍
Probably the best pizza your money can buy. No lie. I wish the pizza was never ending. The sauce is one of a kind.
The sauce could be a bit sweeter IMO (personal taste) but other than that, fantastic pie. I initially scoffed at the price, but they compensate with generous amounts of toppings.

It was alright. Staff were VERY friendly. My only disappointment was the pizza, it was SOOOO greasy and the toppings fell off because there was only cheese on top. Everyone knows you put cheese first then toppings, then maybe a little bit of cheese on top of that to keep everything together.

I recently visited Athens Pizza & Pasta in Auburn and was blown away by their delicious grinders! The restaurant is family owned and the staff are wonderful people who made me feel right at home. The overall experience was fantastic and I can’t wait to go back for more of their great food. Highly recommended! If you’re a fan of Acropolis Pizza in Kirkland, WA then you’ll love this place, same family owns both.
Great homestyle Greek and Italian dishes. Been going there for 25 years… Yum! It has changed. After being closed for 16 months due to fire, it has reopened. The interior and exterior has had a beautiful refresh and update. The food is wonderful as always.
This is one of those hidden gems. Their grinders are great. And so is everything else.

Went there today. I ordered the ham grinder and a side salad. The sandwich did not look anything like the pictures. Very little ham, very dry and no flavor. The salad was also a disappointment. Hug chunks of lettuce that comes from the core of iceberg lettuce. Won’t be back.

Best baked spaghetti in town
No so much bang as is buck! Barley any sauce meatballs looked like cut up burgerish mush…and sandwiches..mostly bread …smh not what it use to be. Hard to speak up without offending..but i tip..lacking that spark sorry athens

This place is a long standing tradition in Auburn. Very good pizza, gyros sandwiches and pasta. The ravioli is particularly good. Homemade salad dressings are also fantastic. This place is the polar opposite of a big chain restaurant. Think 1960s mom and pop one off business.

This guy’s are so sweet and just humble. I felt like I walked into a family establishment. Super friendly and the food was amazing. I am a pizza hunter. I will search for any hole in the wall spot for pizza that’s good and this place is awesome. You can immediately tell the Ingredients are real and fresh. If you’re in auburn check them out. I wish I would have done that sooner.

I used to get the grinder for lunch time-to-time and it was so satisfying. We got take out about a year ago and were disappointed. This afternoon my husband and I didn’t want to cook and decided to give it one more go. I ordered cold cut grinder and my husband the turkey. We didn’t realize the “turkey” was actually a spread like you would do a tuna sandwich. That would have been OK except the spread fell well short of each end of the grinder, leaving only mayo and spice at the ends. My CC grinder was two inches shorter than my husband’s grinder, and on closer inspection, I found two cuts in the paper to cut the sandwich in half, effectively taking two inches of my sandwich out of the center. At $30 for just the two grinders, we both agreed we won’t be ordering from or eating at Athen’s again.

I read some reviews, but we decided to go based on the stars. Man, we were disappointed. I was expecting a great pizza and awesome grinders. We got a somewhat tolerable pizza and a grinder on too sweet bread. It is definitely not as advertised. It looks great, it doesn’t taste that great. We did have fantastic service.
I had high hopes for Athens Pizza. We ordered a few different pies to try, but found the overall flavor to be underwhelming. The cheese used had very little, if any flavor. As a result, having a cheese pizza with extra cheese was disappointing. The Tony’s special was ok, since it has more than just cheese, but it too didn’t impress with its flavor profile.

As a child, growing up in Auburn in the late 70s early 80s I remember my mother taking me to Athens Pizza to eat. Last night I asked my fiance where she wanted to eat and she suggested Athens. She ordered the cheesy bread with meat sauce for an appetizer, as I had garlic bread with meat sauce. We both split a baked spaghetti dinner together. It was very good. Overall, the food is great and is not overpriced! I’m glad to see that Athens is still going strong after 45 years of being in business. I Highly Recommend this restaurant to all who love Italian food. You will not be disappointed‼️

Amazing customer service. We asked the server for her suggestion and got the pastrami grinder which was amazing. Also we wanted to share a salad and a grinder, I asked for a extra plate but they were so wonderful to split both items up for us.
Athens has been a fixture of Auburn for years and years. For many of those our family had a routine: every Friday night after getting off work my parents, wife, and I would gather at Athens for dinner. Unfortunately my wife and I moved to Texas five years ago and that tradition went out the window.
Recently I was back in town due to the passing of my Mom. I took my Dad out to dinner here on a Friday night for old time’s sake. The food is still the amazing food I remembered, the service was top notch, and due to a fire in a neighboring unit a few years ago the interior has been revitalized.
I shed a few tears due to the memories involved, but it was a good experience.
I highly recommend the pepperoni grinder, the pepperoni pizza, or the Athens special pizza. The spumoni ice cream also is a lovely dessert to cap off the evening.

OMG 10 out of 10. No actually 25 out of 10. You could close your eyes point to the menu and never go wrong. Been going here for years and will continue for years to come. The owner shows passion for what he does. Always greets every guest with a smile and creates delicious food. Beyond fair pricing. Family friendly. You can tell the employees love what they do.
