First time trying this place out! It had great looking food so of course I needed to know haha. We really enjoyed the meal! And the dessert was awesome! Food was flavorful and definitely hit the spot.

Straight gas definitely get the strawberry bruchetta

I was very impressed with the food, service and music. Nice people and good food.

Stumbled into this place based on reviews and was blown away. Husband and I each had one of the best sandwiches either of us have had in years. Feta ranch was awesome; clearly homemade, same with the tomato soup. Good beer, good wine, great vibes. Owners came out and were extremely sweet. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town. Check this place out!

Been here numerous times with my wife. Always excellent food.

  10. Travis Marsh

Can’t speak highly enough about this little hidden treasure in the Valley. Jake and Clay are so friendly and made me feel so comfortable and welcome. All the food is really tasty and they have a good selection of beers to choose from. Eating/drinking here is a great opportunity to support a good, local small business!

We went to Jake & Clay’s after a recommendation from a local training opportunity and they did not disappoint! We all had beautifully presented food that was delicious! The service was great and none of us left a bite on our plates.

I had a chicken alfredo dish made with sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms and I would drive the hour to have it again some time; so good!

I will say, one member in our party was sad there were no desserts as listed on their menu board but when we asked, the owner said “Mom wrote that” and I am not sure if that meant it had sentimental value and was not changed or what but I have seen other reviews mention their bread pudding being good so hopefully we can try that next time.

Other mentionings, I drive a full size truck and was able to park but there were limited spaces due to neighboring businesses and of course, like most places these days, they are lined for sedans and smart cars. The pub is relatively small but they have made good use of what space they have. Service was friendly and the environment was chill.

    Please try this place

  14. Kevin Schultz

    Friendly guys and excellent food.

  15. Dylan Kuzmich

Great food. Great environment. That’s what you go for but it’s not the best part about this business. The people make it the best, the service they provide but the people they are make this place awesome. I’d recommend to anyone. The name of the restaurant are the owners and the only two people who work here. Come support and enjoy great food and an even better experience. Cheers!

  16. Jody Meacham

Great atmosphere, fantastic service! The two guys they own it are personable and great to talk too. The food is fabulous! Best Rueben!!

  17. J H

Great menu and beverage selection. We just found our go-to place in the Valley. Fantastic service

  18. Scott Hively

We’ve been here three times now. Always the same two guys working (I assume these must be J and C) and they’re always great. We like the feel here and it will be a frequent stop for our family going forward.

  19. John Partin

Great food for all occasions! Owner operated and fantastic conversations and flavors!

If you’re looking for a fun and casual place to eat that’s not a chain and uses super fresh ingredients, Jake & Clay’s Public House is the place!
I had the Veg Out sandwich and my husband had the C.B.G.B. SANDWICH.
So tasty and good, what I like about their sandwiches is that you don’t fill up on just bread alone; it’s not too much bread and not tough to chew. We also had the smoked beer cheese soup and a flavorful tomato soup with gorgonzola cheese which I would recommend. Oh! and my hubby and I shared the bread pudding dessert which had blueberries, ice cream and whipped cream — not at all heavy and really delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and wine.
Jake and Clyde are a couple of great guys who are welcoming, working hard to make a go of it after surviving the pandemic, and serve you with a smile!

Stopped here while visiting from California, and it was amazing!! We loved everything about this little pub. The food was so delicious I usually never finish my meals while going out to eat but I scarfed down every bite!! Owners were so friendly and welcoming, even the cook Clay, came and asked how everything was for us. We will be back next summer for sure.

Spokane Valley, I hope you cherish this gem of a local restaurant. Two lifelong friends, one expert in cooking and the other in libation partner up to make this unique gem of a restaurant. Casual in atmosphere, superb in personal attentive service with every menu item fresh, homemade and delectable. Beer and wine to natch. Trust them. You’ve been dealt a pair of aces – savor it. We only lucked out while traveling through and wish we could be regulars.

Stop by for a late lunch. The food is great. I had the tomato, bacon and gorgon cheese soup. It was fabulous. Both my sandwich and wife’s were very tasty. The beers werelocal fresh and tasty. I highly recommend.

  27. Jeremy D'Ambrosio

It’s a must try joint in the Spokane Valley. Run by two local boys. Music themed selections of wine & beet. No deep fries in this joint. The C.B.G.B. sandwich is my favorite, and I’m normally not a soup guy, but the tomato soup with grilled cheese is so, so dam good.

  28. Amanda LaFrance

Food was AMAZING!! Fresh and homemade!! Don’t miss this place! French dip was very good and the side salad was so fresh and cold; just perfect. Delicious dressing too!

  29. Jim Lear

The place looks a little like a beer dive but the food is divine. Had the tomato bacon Gorgonzola soup and the c. B. G. B. Fantastic.

  30. Lauri Pounder

First time here. The food was amazing as well as the service. We both had salads. I had the club salad and my husband had the ahi salad. All their salad dressing are home made. Check this place out it’s awesome!! Great wine selection

  31. Ryan Sheehan

Cool little spot. Just dropped in here looking for a place to kill an hour but found a really good menu and great service. The Bacon and Gorgonzola Tomato soup was hearty and as delicious as it sounds. And the wedge salad was excellent. One star off of “atmosphere” for having MTV running on all the TVs, but it wasn’t blasting really loud or disrupting conversation.

  32. Harold Belskus

EEEEEEVERYTHING is bomblicious!!! It’s just Jake and Clay killing it all day everyday. Go, that’s it.

  33. Kara Van Tassel

If you’re thinking about trying this place, let me tell you in the words of Nike and Shia LaBeouf.. JUST DO IT!
It’s amazing! Every single time and every single meal. (Ok, we haven’t tried them all but the items we’ve had were top notch)

The Bacon Tomato Gorgonzola soup is to die for. I’d sell my sister for the recipe. 😂
But really, best tomato soup I’ve ever had.

I really like their pasta salad too. It’s tortellini noodles and it’s so flavorful. Not a boring ol’ pasta salad (not that there isn’t a place for that too).

I put pepper on everything, but here I don’t even think about it. Everything I’ve had is perfectly seasoned.

Anyways, I can write 30 paragraphs and yammer on forever, but the point I’m trying to make is that you 1000% need Jake and Clays in your life.

What a unique find! Such big flavors and a bold menu for such a small pub. I came here because of the great reviews on Google and Jake & Clay did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious! I was shocked by the very creative menu and how much of it was house-made! (ALL the salad dressings?!)I enjoyed the Southsider sandwich, the Tomato Bacon Gorgonzola soup, and the Croissant Bread Pudding. It was all stunningly delicious. I got a chance to meet both of the establishment’s namesakes – who were both warm and pleasant – and thank them for an absolutely phenomenal meal. I will 100% be back to work my way through the menu. Already looking forward to the next mouth-watering bite… 🤤

  35. Eric Anderson

Jay and Clay are cool dudes. They wedge salad is 10/10.

  36. jessica johnson

Food is always good love love love their soup and strawberry bruschetta crostini is my favorite!

  37. Jen B

The place isn’t large, the menu consists of appetizers, soups, and salads. The food is delicious though.

This wasn’t my first visit, but one of my friends really wanted us to try their feta ranch. It was definitely a highlight. But what was even better…the garlic mayo they put on their C.B.G.B sandwich.

One friend ordered their Club Salad with the feta ranch. She really liked it. The salad looked fresh and the eggs were even cooked perfectly (not a single hint of grey). They give you a really good amount of dressing and if it wasn’t so tasty, you would probably have more than you need.

My other friend and I went with their C.B.G.B. sandwich with a side salad. I absolutely love their bacon Gorgonzola tomato soup, but I had to give their feta ranch a try.

The next time I go, it’s going to be even more difficult to choose what to order. Everything I have had has been delicious, but I really think I will be dreaming about that garlic mayo (it’s that good).

They do have several wines, beers, ciders, seltzers, and even Mead to choose from. — at Jake & Clay’s Public House.
