We have really missed open dining and are so grateful to our friends at La Presa who fix the most amazing authentic food! They feel like family to us.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the area…..great friendly service, family owned and operated, and the best food in town….and huge portions of fresh food
Good food awesome salsa had to bring some home…
Very clean and staff are attentive and friendly. Best place to have a margarita.
Very hot inside. Took staff a long time to acknowledge us. Average food.
Fabulously hot salsa. Great food and service.
This place has awesome salsa and the pollo a la crema was the best ever!!
I frequently pass through Grand Coulee for work and always see Lapresa as I’m heading back to Spokane (but never as I’m coming in the other way, for some reason). After dropping off some precious cargo, I thought I would finally pop in to Lapresa to see if it was any good.
I am going to ask that you take this with a tiny grain of salt, due to this being Memorial Day Weekend and all, but I won’t lean too heavily on that little factoid. The restaurant itself was very hot, and the fans weren’t even running (a simple 7 second trick to help at least get circulation going inside. I wanted to cheat a little bit because I wasn’t super interested in what my wife was cooking for when I got home, so I just wanted to order something small. Therefore, the nachos appetizer seemed like a good shot. I’ll say, it wasn’t bad, but the corn chips were definitely super soggy by the time it got to me, a problem that occasionally happens, especially if there’s a LOT of substance on top of it like meat and beans. This is normally fantastic, except I ordered an appetizer. For a party of 10, this would have been a great starter. For a party of 1 who had ordered it as a small snack, this was a monster.
The staff was very friendly, and the environment was clean and lively (see again that this was Memorial Day Weekend, so I can’t say whether or not this is average or just a factor of this amazing holiday). However, when finished, I asked for the check and then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for it, having asked a second time about 10 minutes in. They weren’t slammed or anything either, so it isn’t like they were serving more than they could handle. It honestly just looked like a combination of lack of communication between waiting staff and general inattentiveness. It happens, but when I’ve only ordered one “small” thing to eat and go, I’m hoping I can get in quickly. I was waiting by the cash register when I finally got my check, and the cashier came with another card from another family, charged that one like I wasn’t standing there (again, possibly inattentiveness or maybe I just prioritize differently in a professional setting), gave the card and receipt back to the family, THEN finally got to me. Not 100% sure if I was just already annoyed by the heat, massive “appetizer”, and late check, or if that’s normal to just blow off someone already waiting to pay and leave in order to get to the people still sitting down. Had I gotten the check quickly in the first place, I probably wouldn’t have thought anything of it. Nevertheless, my experience was not as pleasurable as I had hoped. Billy Burger is probably going to be my go-to restaurant along this route from now on. Shame.
Their food is ten stars; their service is ten stars. A big restaurant, so lots of room to eat and have personal space even when it’s busy. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant. The one issue I have with the restaurant is one bathroom for women, and they get pretty busy. Other than that, it’s fabulously perfect, and their customer service is fantastic. They are customer-pleasing. I was boiling, and they turned on the air conditioning.
The food was delicious! Amazing authentic Mexican cuisine! And the serving sizes were positively GARGANTUAN. My teenage boys couldn’t finish their plates and that’s saying a lot!
We had a group of 14 last night. The service was beyond awesome and the food was excellent!! Not one complaint from anyone. Best Mexican Restaurant ever!!!!
10/10! Best Mexican Restaurant I’ve ever had! Outstanding food, service, atmosphere and VERY Fast! We will be coming back many times to come!!!
Friendly staff. Typical family style Mexican restaurant. Chicken flautas were good, tacos not really.
Same old same old! Typical Mexican restaurant with all the choices. I would like rate it higher but my tacos were not good. My wife’s flautas were very good. Staff were very nice!
Ok, let’s be honest. You only have to do a few things right to be a good Mexican restaurant. Good chips and salsa, good refried beans, and good margaritas. This place hit the trifecta. The service, despite a heavy crowd, was great. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. I had one of the best tostadas ever and the Cadillac Margherita was ice cold and delicious. I strongly recommend this place and will visit again if I am in the area.
Fast friendly service and great burritos!!!!
My husband and I visited this restaurant during the week to enjoy a early dinner. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic we also enjoyed the very big margarita they offer. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!
Ordered the Burrito Acapulco, it was huge, but also very delicious 😋 Took most of it home in a to go box.
After visiting another Mexican restaurant yesterday that was disappointing, we stopped at La Presa today. We were greeted by a friendly and funny waiter. The salsa was on the hotter side, and was absolutely delicious. The house margaritas were awesome. Both dishes we ordered were amazing. I really wish this restaurant was 5 hours closer to home.
Enjoyed a great meal with excellent service!! The house-made salsa is amazing so we had to buy some to take home. Feels like the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in the USA. I highly recommend it!
I had dinner here twice with my son and nephew, both big eaters. We all left MORE than satisfied. They said the Cadillac margaritas they ordered were excellent as were all the entrees we ordered. In particular I thought the Chicken Tortilla Soup was very superior as was the Chile Verde I ordered.
My nephew asked that the fajita veggies were well done and they were happy to accommodate him
Incredibly fast and cheerful service made both visits outstanding. These folks really hustle. This is the kind of local, quality restaurant we always hope to find. We recommend this establishment very highly.
Literally the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, The staff was super hardworking and friendly. Probably the best thing grand coulee has to offer
Love this place. Great food great hospitality from staff. I leave here so full from all the great food. Grab something sweet after the meal you want regret it.
Salsa is beyond too spicy hot, the cystomer service was hit or miss & the taco salad doesn’t come with beans. Other than that it was yummy.
Had the arroz con pollo and it was AMAZING! Huge portion and absolutely delicious!! Salsa was incredible too!
No BS this is the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten(save the cheese dip). We wanted queen and it was just nacho cheese. The chicken has a wonderful grill flavor and the beans and rice are on point. Everything was awesome.
Amazing customers service! One of the waiters actually squeaked his shoes on the floor he was working so fast! Great food huge portion. Also the xl margarita is giant. Bigger than a cereal bowl.
A perl in the middle of nowhere!
Authentic Mexican, every meal ordered was fresh and yummy.
Friendly staff.
Awesome service! Food has amazing taste and fulfilling. Waiter was very attentive to our needs and we lacked nothing on our visit. Recommended for authentic Mexican cuisine, thank you!
Wow! The place was packed upon arrival and we had a party of 7. We were seated promptly. Our food was already out within 10 minutes of ordering. Delicious food! And quick, friendly service. Would highly recommend.
Food was served fast and hot. It was very, very good! Best service we’ve had at any restaurant for a long time. It made our 32nd anniversary and spur-of-the-moment stop even more memorable. We will be back when we are able to be in the area!
We binged on Mexican food and this was our favorite stop! The salsa had that home made feeling, the plates were large and filling, the staff were nice, the ambiance was fun. When I mentioned I was vegetarian they helped me with my options, too. Yum!
Solid 4.5 ⭐s Mexican place in Grand Coulee. Good food and large portions. Salsa had a nice kick. I had pollo asada, hubs had carne ranchero. Draft beers are served in a cute little boot mug. They are super busy so be patient with the staff. Would definitely come back if we drive through here again.
We always get their quesadilla picadillo and their meat stuffed chili relleno. And of course you’ve got to have the extra extra large mango margarita!!
We Love La Presa! Love the quesadillas and chile relleno.
The Verde sauce there is super good. Stuck in town for a bit so we have been eating there like 2 times a week! Lol It is a must if you’re in town just visiting family, catching the laser lights, or just passing through……. If you live anywhere near Grand Coulee. Stop in and get great food and great service.
Great food. Nice people. The real deal. Watch out for the salsa.
Margaritas than you have ever seen. Try the to-go salsa options if you enjoyed their chips, some of the best fresh salsa at a Mexican place around here.
Was surprised at how wonderful this place is. Customer service was the best and the food was so tasty.
Amazing food. Great margaritas. Attentive and efficient staff. Definately recommend if you are in the area.
Best food in a town… great people and fast service….
This was the best Mexican I’ve had in a while. We will definitely go back. Great customer service and the food was delicious.
Would have been better but the table next was loud and obnoxious and very rude to the waitress. Waitress was very professional and kept on smiling the food is excellent and very delicious
Excellent good and service. Check out the pictures of the margheritas. They were huge, in tall glasses. We had Pacifico’s in ice frosted glasses. Our party of 5 people were served quickly. The wait staff was professional and courteous.
If you’re hungry and want great food and atmosphere gotta go to la presa
