Awesome food great service My service dog and I felt very much at home food served with a smile . Highly recommended

  2. Random Dude

First time there today, great place!

  3. Crystal Stewart

I had ordered breakfast with my family this morning. We had high hopes but the flavor fell flat. My husbands biscuits and gravy would have been good but it was super cold. He said the gravy had good flavor but just chilled. My potatoes were bland but the toast was good! I asked for over easy eggs but they hardly had any runny yolks.

  4. Diane Hague

Cute place. Nice wait staff. Food was ok – oatmeal not fully cooked but the biscuit was yummy.

  5. Mat Sull

What a neat place! Super good service, friendly and great food! Seating overlooking the bay. Cash only, but ATM available.

  6. Gloria Wheeler

First, this place is not vegan friendly. But I knew that going in and I refuse to take a star away for a restaurant being who they are OH so well.

This is where you go when you want a home cooked breakfast and catch-up with your neighbors. The staff is warm, friendly, and they know the regulars by name and when the usually come in. The regular customers say “hi” when antone walks in, will tell you where an open table is, and will genuinely want to get to know you. The food is delicious cafe style food made and served with a big side of love. We loved it so much that we ate breakfast there twice. I was even willing to risk a stomach ache and wat vegetarian because of how much I love the energy of this place. The people, the funny signs and decorations, the old sowing machine tables turned into dining tables. A must go-to if you are in the area.

We went for the first time this morning and the food was amazing. The potatoes that come with breakfast are sooo good!

  10. Deborah Jackson

    Everything was yummy

  11. Angel Moore

Biscuits and gravy are absolutely amazing. When it was Tony’s they weren’t very good and the gravy was kinda watery. I am happy they switched things up.

  12. Trever Moravec

I made a stop here on Saturday, Oct 15th. This was my first time visiting, as I don’t travel into the United States often. I really enjoyed how quaint this restaurant was. I was easily immersed in the vintage decorations that are covering the walls! Something fun to do while enjoying your food. Oh, and the food was fantastic! My boyfriend ordered the Corned Beef Hash with the sausage gravy, and I gotta say, it made me wanna switch my order to what he was having. It was AMAZING! Not that my food wasn’t great too. It was delicious! Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and the needs of everyone else; checking in on everyone to make sure their coffee and water was never empty. She made friendly conversation with us about Trader Joe’s! Thank you for a wonderful, and tasty, first visit! I will definitely be coming back here when I come across the border again!

Food is phenomenal. I really enjoy coming in and feel apart of the group. I am a regular at this establishment. I enjoying sometimes sitting back and watch the employees bring a real nice and quick service to the customers. The cooks are constantly being thanked for the delicious food. The guy behind the bar is a good listener and a kind man. Willing to listen and have a good conversation with. He hustles often to help the other staff at whatever is needed i.e. doing dishes, grabbing food items for the cook, and help taking care of the front bar area. Everyone there help make the atmosphere very home like feeling.

  16. David DeGoyette

Don’t bother. There are nice cafes in Lynden, Everson, Birch Bay and Ferndale.
    Check those ones out instead.

  17. Claire Lewis

    Best breakfast in Blaine!!!

  21. Kathi Gillespie

I live in Blaine so this is my favorite breakfast spot. The food is great, the menu offerings are varied enough so I don’t get bored. The diner its self is very eclectic, a historic vibe. Theres dining area that faces the waterfront, with a nice view. There is an antique model train on tracks above dining area, can make the dining experience even more unique.
I did down grade rating because of the small dining room area, its like a storage area with tables, which I feel is unfortunate. The room has great potential or bones as realtors say but in its current state it doesn’t do much for overall aesthetics.
The diner is cash only, there are ATM’s available.

Tight space, but good food. Server was really nice. Cash only.

Was recommended to come here from the clerk at the party Chevron down the street
Atmosphere was homey and friendly, servers were lovely and had a lot of character, even the other patrons were friendly and chatty with us and each other.
Food was great and coffee was amazing

  25. Kelly Lane Essmeier

Undoubtedly the best country fried steak and eggs I’ve ever had. Seems like everyone thought the same as at least one person at every table ordered it! Very cool decor and great staff. Five stars!!

  27. Sidney Tellefsen

WOW! Best breakfast I’ve had in such a long time. Definitely my new favorite spot! Highly recommend their eggs Benedict!

  28. mike stroh

I only give 5 stars when it’s earned and this place earned it. Nice hole in the wall off the beaten path! Tons of food, server was badass and the price is good. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!! Heads up, cash only. But they have an ATM so they got ya covered.

  29. Phillip

Literally bottomless coffee, and the potatoes are fabulous. Sit at the bar if you can, that’s where all the action is. I loved this place, recently moved away from Birch Bay but if I go back, this is my breakfast stop. Great food. Great people. Fabulous atmosphere. Bring cash. Tip well.

  30. Rob Shiras

I love this place. Everything on the menu is great. Nice view. Very friendly people there all the time.

Lowkey place with delicious food. I had the corned beef hatch and eggs, my wife had the Western cheese omelette. Both were terrific in the service was great. There’s also a cool view of the marina.

  34. Suzanna Valdez

The most fantastic breakfast experience we’ve had in a Very long time. If you are looking for good food, that local feel and excellent service we can’t recommend enough. So glad to have stumbled across this spot. If you haven’t been, you should definitely make it a priority to go and forget sending visitors to bham. Truly thank you to Monte and all his staff for their commitment to a 10 out of 10 experience.

  35. Joel Hurley

This food is legit home cooking. Very good.

  36. Deborah Borrowman

Went for breaky. Truly home cooked food. Be prepared if you order the pancakes, they’re Huge and super yummy 😀 Had them with sausages, and can honestly say they were the Best I’ve ever eaten! If we’re across the line again, we’ll definitely be back!

  37. Shannon

Checked reviews and decided to give it a try. Really cute spot, friendly people.
Ordered corned beef hash scramble and chicken fried steak.
Hubby enjoyed his steak and eggs but hash browns were disappointing.Too soft, big chunks of potato. Same goes for the hash.

  38. Chris Campos

Update…Order the Twin Sisters, with corned beef mixed in! You won’t be disappointed!

If you’re in Blaine and craving a home cooked wholesome breakfast, THIS IS YOUR SPOT! Monte and the staff are GREAT. There’s always great conversation at the bar and they are very welcoming! I’ve been stuck on the country fried steak breakfast, but I will try the stuffed French toast soon!

  39. Pamela Englett

Darling place with lots to read and see on the walls and a beautiful view. Server was very friendly. Just be ready to wait a while for food. Took 40 minutes to get out 2 egg over medium breakfast! Food was very good.
