1. Inside of an old train car. The atmosphere is charming and rather romantic actually 🤔. Their food is absolutely delicious. It is well presented and the portion sizes are excellent. The staff is fun and friendly and make you feel right at home. All in all a hidden gem that is my new favorite bbq spot.

2. Finally, a place that actually smokes brisket. If you actually know what smoked brisket is supposed to taste like youll love this BBQ, on top actually eating aboard a train

3. SMOKERIDGE BBQ Has the BEST RIBS and BRISKET!! The RIBS are so Fall off the bone Delicious and Moist and Flavorful. The BRISKET is Tender and Juicy. They have a new Saturday special menu item Alfredo Pasta made from scrach topped with your choice of Smoked Brisket Meatballs, Italian Sausage or Chicken. I tried the Smoked Brisket Meatballs on top of the Alfredo Pasta and I was not disappointed,
   it was ABSOLUTELY YUMMY! The staff are always Friendly, Helpful and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied. I love SmokeRidge BBQ Delicious Food and Great Staff!

4. Decided to try a new to us place today and SO happy we did! The brisket is AMAZING! 5 cheese Mac n cheese… YES please! Texas toast fresh! Husband had the brisket sandwich and loved it! We also had some drinks, the Green Envy was our choice and it did not disappoint. We will most definitely be returning!

5. I cannot say enough good things about this little Spokane Valley hidden Gem. I thought my mom made the best ribs that I’ve ever had, but I stand corrected. I don’t even want to write this review because I don’t want to share this place with any more people than I already have to. They have a bunch of other meats too like brisket and pulled pork, but I promise you I absolutely guarantee that if you get a ribs get the full rack, you’ll be upset that you didn’t get one to go trust me please. Downside is they’re only open 3-fn days a week!! Th-Sat, because they’re that good. Can’t wait until they’re done remodeling, I need my ribs like yesterday.

   Still amazing just got a full slab of ribs’ this is going to be my new weekend treat.

7. Food was great. Very tasty. Service was good, too. But they didn’t have a kids menu and charged a fee to split a plate between two kids. I guess if you’re going to have a whimsical restaurant in a train car of course it’s going to attract people with kids. Add a kids menu and it’ll be perfect

8. This is an amazing little place, only open a few days a week right now. They have a pizza oven outside in the summer. The BBQ is wonderfully tasty. Service was good very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. They also have some unique drinks in the bar car.

9. Went here last night to try some new BBQ in town and it’s in an old train ! Lol yay !! The food definitely didn’t disappoint! The service was on point too ! The 4 different house made BBQ sauces were GREAT and there is one for you no matter what your tastes ! Plus the dry rub they use on the meat was perfect ! We will be back for more ! The smoked deviled eggs were perfect my friend who doesn’t even like deviled eggs usually loved them ! Fall off the bone juicy perfection !

10. I and my fiancé like trying new BBQ places. This was our first time and we did the family meal which was a little of everything. I have to say we where not empresses with it. I have to admit Longhorn has more flavor. The ribs had not flavor, the German sausage zero flavor and I like germen sausage, the chicken was super dry, The pulled pork was dry, the brisket no flavor. Not much of a side menu, it was just like everyone else potato salad beans, and their on flare on potato chips. There BBQ sauces where ok but have tasted better once from the south. We personal would not go back.

11. SmokeRidge BBQ is home to the best BBQ I’ve ever had! The portions are generous and the prices are fair. I love the atmosphere inside the train – it definitely feels like a hidden treasure in Spokane Valley. The owners are amazing and beyond kind, but what is really impressive is their creativity and consistence in creating original and delicious dishes made from quality and fresh ingredients. You can tell a lot of passion and consideration has gone into everything they do to present something incredible to each visitor. I cannot wait to enjoy their outdoor patio!
    Family friendly and orders to go available for you convenience, too. 🙂

12. The train on Track 58 off Sprague has been several different businesses; None were as fitting as the restaurant SmokeRidge BBQ. My wife enjoys ladies night there several times a month. I was surprised we could even eat in the engine car! Their food is great!!!

17. I had the ribs and they were cooked perfectly. Then they lined up 4 bbq sauces for the ribs and each flavor was delicious. They also had a color changing drink that was tasty and fun. Not to mention I was able to run up to the front and play in the train control center! It was a fun experience.

18. Undoubtedly the best quality BBQ in Spokane. Menu offers much. Everything tastes like it’s actually made from scratch. Meats are moist and flavorful and homemade sauces accentuate them. There’s an obvious effort here that you don’t see in chain restaurants. This locomotive offers family hospitality and comfort and I hope to see this business flourish in this historic railroad town.

20. This is not a review about the food. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was the length of time to receive my food. I phone ordered and she gave me a time. I arrived and was told it wasn’t ready. For the next 40 minutes I stood there and was ignored. Unfortunately, they took my card to pay immediately when I arrived. I would stop people and ask, but it was always “be ready soon”. After 40 minutes I was handed the bag. No offer of a soda while I waited, no extra side dish or complimentary anything for the trouble. Just was told “we had a big catering order worth a lot of money we had to do before your order.” The order: a sandwich, potato salad and rice bowl. Very disappointed.

21. Had great bloody maries. We also ordered their meat bowls(which are my new favorite BBQ concept) the food was great but the brisket was a little dry but great flavor.

22. Same experience as some of the others. Was told the family meal would feed a few people. Two of us ate all of it and were still hungry! Pretty sure we were short changed as there was no way it was what they said. Won’t be back until we hear the portions double or the price halves. Wasn’t even close to cheap.

    Update 2022: decided to try again. Still pretty bad. Little to know flavor. Just tastes of salt. They were rude to my mother, still very expensive. Just not a place worth your time. There’s a new BBQ on the south hill that’s far better than this with similar flavor profiles and style. Go there.

23. Had a great experience today, the service was quick and servers are very friendly, definitely recommend this place, food is amazing and owners are very kind.

25. First time here, food was so amazing we came back every day they were open. We tried everything on the menu. Highly recommend this place. The BBQ meats melt in your mouth. The smoked deviled eggs are so creamy with a light smoke. Taco Thursday we had brisket tacos…. Would love those every day!! Staff is fun and friendly. Food is 10/10!

27. Best ribs I’ve had in at least 5 years. Definitely the best in the Spokane area. Brisket was good but not on par with the ribs. Oh, and the train thing is nice too. We didn’t see the margarita flights in time to try them, so we’ll have to come back.

29. 11 of us from my 91 year old Mom to my 9 year old grand daughter enjoyed a memorable dinner at Smoke Ridge BBQ on Sunday. We chose multiple appetizers, which were all scrumptious, drinks (Mom ordered the Bloody Mary, which was amazing!) and main dishes. Smoke flavor – not overpowering, but “just right” – permeated all of the dishes. Everyone ordered different items and it was fun watching everyone wanting a taste of everyone else’s food! I had the pasta bowl with Alfredo Sauce and smoked chicken – very good! Really liked the way John (owner) incorporates the base smoked meats into unique dishes that truly pleased the palate. Gonna come back soon for Taco Thursday, as those menu choices look yummy too. Definitely a “go back again” experience!

30. DO NOT GO HERE!

    Firstly we were really excited to try this cool little place out and i am sorry to have to write a 1 star review. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration for my mom.

    -Very poor service. Asked for napkins 5 times. They never came.
    -Asked for butter and they said they didn’t have any when every piece of their Texas toast has butter on them. The manager had a bad attitude when we asked, and we were so polite.
    -Forgot sides had to remind them the meal came with them.
    -The manager was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and rude to my family. When my mom wanted to peak at the front car the dark haired woman that claimed to be the manager said, “You need to get out of the way, bar service customer’s comes first” after we spent that much.
    My family spent over 200 dollars here,
    I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food was way over priced and the ribs were bitter, dry and way over barked. Everything over cooked.

    We waited for over an hour for our food and they were not busy at all.

    Very poor manager I don’t know why they would even higher someone like that. My mother works hard for the little bit of money she has and to be that disrespected is unacceptable.
    Bad behavior, bad service, bad.

31. This. Place. Rules. Best BBQ in Spokane/Spokane Valley. Without a doubt. Brisket is awesome. We love to get food to go from here as well as dining in and will continue to often! So glad this restaurant is here!

32. The food was absolutely delicious! Fresh, tasty, the meat had lots of flavours and was smoked to perfection.
    The service was quick and efficient. We really liked the decor and ambiance inside and outside.

36. This was our first time here and it was great. The food was excellent, as were drinks. The staff were all super nice. My wife said..”one of the best meals she has had in Spokane!” We are going back to get food for watching football. The menu is fairly small, but they are adding more items soon. We’ll be back, and recommend this place to everyone. The train theme is pretty cool too.

37. Always drive passed it and always wanted to try it and we finally did!! And it was amazing. Even know we came close to closing time the two lady’s who waited on us who one was a trainee and did amazing and the other who I’m pretty sure was one of the owners did absolutely fantastic and they were so sweet and made us feel very welcomed. 10/10 do recommend if you want real BBQ!! FOOD WAS SOOOOO GOOD. We will return definitely !

38. Awesome pizza! Not a BBQ place like you might expect by the name, but if you want a tasty pizza served by helpful folk, it is the place to go!
