Great food and a pub atmosphere. Loved it. Wife had beef a potato classic i believe it was called and daughter and I fish and chips. Thanks much ladies.
This place looks unassuming from the street. We weren’t sure where we were having lunch when we wandered downtown for the day. The smells coming from this place lured us in. I had the fish and chips, it was light and crunchy and served in a large filet. The chef prepared homemade cocktail sauce for me. The fries were crispy and fluffy. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in years. We also ordered the shepherd’s pie, which had a deep rich gravy and was packed with delicious veggies and meat, a wrap for the boring daughter and the Reuben. Friendly and fast service. There’s dollars all over the walls with people’s names. Apparently to get your dollar up there you have to sing on the bar. We came during the day with the whole family but we want to come back for a night of drinking and more fish and chips!
Food was excellent and service was awesome!! It was my 50th birthday soooo had too many Jack n Cokes talls so wife had to drive home, but sooooo worth it! Fish and chips were great and Irish burger really good!
This was our first time eating at this establishment. Read reviews before going, most of them were really good but I wasn’t impressed at all…Ordered the fish and chips which came out very thin (like 1/4′ thin) and very over fried. Got 3 pieces and only one piece was pretty decent but that’s about it. Also ordered the highly rated onion rings, which I thought were not that great as per all the reviews, just regular onion rings and they charge $11 for a small basket. We had to send them back due as they were WAY overdone and some were almost black. After about another 10 min wait we got a new basket and these looked good but just tasted plain. The waitress was very nice and very understanding. Don’t think I will be going back, sorry to say.
I really enjoyed their fish and chips. It was a great meal that my friend and I had without spending a fortune. The service was from a very positive person who made sure we enjoyed being there and we will definately return.
Great food. While the owner and name has changed, it’s mostly the same menu items that were offered when it was O’Dohertys. I recommend the Corned Beef & Cabbage and the Bell’s Sunrise!
So always wanted to eat here. Finally got the chance, and I was not disappointed. Being Irish, I love spots like this, Irish decor, awesome menu, and a server who was more connected then usual. You can tell the were absolutely short staffed but no complaints. They all did everything together, jokes, laughing, and having a good time. Definitely going back!!!!
First time eating here for dinner, didn’t want a sandwich decided on steak, don’t recommend. Took almost an 1-1/2 hrs to get food, and it was wrong. Waitress lied, manager made excuses for her and also was caught in lies. Left very disappointed and will never go back.
We had a catered event and then food and service was all top notch. I would recommend McCracken’s to everyone planning an event or wanting a great place to hang out have a drink and eat.
Bangers and mash all the way… Sooo so good. I could have drunk the onion gravy. The peanut cole slaw was a little strong on first bite but then was also highly delicious. So yummy.
Waitess was working hard and bartending. Short staffed but she was running and doing a great job! Food was excellent thanks to the chef on Memorial Day!
My favorite spokane valley bar. Todd the owner is so kind and gracious. I always feel at home and welcome here. Thanks to Brittany for always giving great customer service and solid drinks!
Great place, fun in fact! I was actually, there by mistake, yet the server was so thoughtful, invited us to stay while we figured out our plans. And, so we stayed and ate a terrific meal. As it turned out we had a wonderful time.
Service was perfect! Fish and chips is delicious! I visit here every time I come home. Don’t be fooled, the recipes and food have not changed, just the name. (O’Douherty’s)
Sad experience. Not the first time I had to wait too long for some food. But when I saw another guy come in sit at the bar next to me after I had alreadybordered my food and he ordered his food got his food before me. I think he was a friend of the owner as they were chatting about going golfing…
It was a busy afternoon today at the pub before the holiday weekend. Service was exceptional!!. So glad I came in, as the customers are treated like familiar family! The owner and his team go the extra mile to get to know customers and welcome them. Will definitely be back in the future and bring others.
Corned beef is out of this world! We love it straight for dinner and in hash at breakfast. I almost don’t want to leave a good review because I don’t want the secret to get out. 🙃
Went there tonight for their fish and chips. They advertise they have the best…sadly they don’t. They use pollock and it was thin. Three pieces ok size but greasy. Dave’s Bar and Grill are much better. Won’t be back
My husband and I were regulars long before the new owner took over. We were aware that OD’s had changed hands long before they officially changed the pubs name. And the food was still the same, excellent! We were very fond of the fish and chips. The pollock was always nice thick. Not long after the name change and new menu came out we noticed the fish and chips had gotten significantly thinner. Like the frozen fish fillets at the grocery store. Well my husband and I decided to give it one more try, a couple weeks apart. The fish is still super thin. We won’t be back. We’ll just go down town and eat at OD’s. Even McConnell’s fish and chips are better than McCrackens
We went on 09/23/2022. My husband and I came in for a quick cocktail and the waitress ( didn’t get her name) was amazing. She was the only one working the bar and restaurant. Not only was she running her butt off she was SO friendly. GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE! We need more girls like her in this world. Way to hustle sweetheart.
Definitely worth a visit. They have Guinness on tap which is almost saying enough as it is. Food is really good, and the owner is very accommodating and interested in earning your business.
Everything i’ve eaten here has been a treat. Last thing I had was the fish and chips. It’s Polluck, and the breading is perfect. The reuben sandwiches are awesome and the drinks are great too!
The food here is some of the best pub food around! The smoked brisket is fantastic! Make sure you order a shot!
The food is great. The service is great. The ambiance is great. Even the other customers are great! (Shout out to John, a regular there who made our night!) We really enjoyed our evening here. We split the fish & chips but saw many other dishes we’ll go back and try soon. Great place!
Excellent food, excellent service and excellent atmosphere. We tried multiple things from their menu and loved everything. I regret not trying the BBQ because multiple tables next to us said it’s the best BBQ in town. Will definitely be back and can’t wait to try them for catering.
It was my first time. The food was excellent, and the bartender not only took care of the bar, but she was the server for the entire restaurant. She was outstanding!
Fish Was huge portions But way too much breading And super greasy So much so that you could not pick it up and eat it without it falling apart. Pretty much 2 stars because the waitress was great.
McCracken’s has really great food. A friendly staff and reasonable prices.
All of that is the bare minimum for a restaurant to be successful in my opinion.
What sets McCracken’s apart though is that they have integrity and their staff is honest. I’ve eaten there quite a number of times and will continue to do so.
This last time however, upon leaving, I left behind a pair of $250 sunglasses that I adore. I spent hours looking for them everywhere as I was to fly out the next morning. I didn’t find them. Once I landed at my destination my heart sank. I bet I left them at McCracken’s. I called my parents who I had dined with the previous day and mentioned it. They called McCracken’s and they not only had noticed I left them, but set them aside as they knew I’d want them back.
I cannot thank the staff enough for being so friendly, cooking great food, and returning my sunglasses to my family. I promise to spend at least their value there again throughout the future.
Slàinte,
Sammy
